That's just over six miles each way from the South Beach Jetty to the Ona Beach state park. I've just been waiting on the right wind to do this.
Some one sacrifice a bucket of original recipe from KFC to the wind gods!

Noaa changed the forecast :D There was crazy wind here yesterday, and nothing today. toough it looks like the jetty/ponds are lit. Wonder if
there's any down at sunset.

We're hoping that something will come up after 4pm locally. Huge minus tide. It would be such a waste.

Wicked high tide at 2pm. NOAA station on the jetty showed 6-7kts all afternoon.
Sucked it up and headed for Ona beach. Buugy tires hit sand at 4pm.
Watched the beach just get wider and wider. GPS showed 1100 feet of beach at 6:30, and not a breath of wind.
NOT FAIR!!!!
Will just have to wait and see what the rest of the week brings.
Just plain depressing I say!
