Hey everyone...just joined up.. from reading things that have been posted, I must say that the majority of you seem like really cool people. I'm a
retired Army SFC and a windsurfer since 1987. I am land locked in the USA now so I took up power kiting and love it! These damn kites are unreal and
have opened up a wealth of fun for me here in the Mid-west. Look forward to talking with you.....

Hello, are there any good kite flying area over in Warrenton? The one good public field here in St. Peters gets rented out a lot to soccer

Thanks for the welcomes! Flummoxed and flyjump there is a spot I found out here in Warrenton. It's the Warrenton Athletic Complex (Hence forth known
as WAC). Here's a review I wrote on WindfunSTL (Group of Windsurfers and Kiters based primarily in St. Louis):
Took my Kite buggy and Rush III Pro 3.5 out to the Warrenton Athletic Complex this afternoon and had a blast. First time I've tried this
place and it turned out to be excellent with smooth grass soccer fields and a fairly wide open location. I had the whole place to
myself and got in some pretty good speed runs. I don't know if cops will mess with you there. I can't see why but I have not had any
trouble yet. The ground is smooth enough for mountain boards as well. To get there take exit 193 off 70 and go North on HWY 47 for around 4 miles.
Turn right onto Hickory/Warrenton Athletic Complex Dr. and it will be on your right about a mile down. I used the big field outside of the fenced in
fields and that will be on your left as you pull in. +38° 51' 18.30", -91° 7' 2.75" on Google maps which does not show the place in its developed
state as it is now.

Welcome and thank you for your service
aircav1182 - 10-10-2010 at 08:23 AM
My service to our country and its entire people was my honor/privilege and I do thank you all. If they called me back I would go again but I would
sure as hell break down my GI Patrol and pack it with at least a couple of kites in the duffle bag because they do have great wind in Iraq and these
other God forsaken places we have to go!!
