PKD Combats

Trikbitz - 18-10-2010 at 02:06 PM

For sale a complete set of PKD team issue Combats
These kites are being sold by my son PKD team rider Dan Trainor Check out the PKD web site or Walter Carels pic from the 2009 European championships
The kites are blue with a red centre and are a complete set from 2.4m to 15.4m complete with lines and handles or as kite only.
All kites are in A1 condition no damage or repairs the lines are 15m and 20m handles are all PKD
the canopys are Porcher Marine fabric with the latest thin bridles
The small combats are the fastest kites I have ever flown

Price £3200.00 + shipping

bigkid - 18-10-2010 at 05:14 PM

I would say that the cost in USD is $4480.00.
Where are you located? shipping to the US from the UK would be about $180.00 or about for the complete set, K/O.
This would be a nice set,
I would like the 15.4, big kite for those no wind days, with 75m lines :eekdrull:

We live in Nottingham, England

Not sure on the shipping cost but I would get Roger from PKD to ship them for me as he gets some good rates

1 or 2, here and there. A few people have a Combat or 2 but mostly an unknown kite. I do believe I am the only one with a set. Could it be it's to much of a race kite?:puzzled:
Most everyone that try one out find they like the kite.
You might have a better time finding a buyer on your side of the pond.

the spain riders like the combats ... they have a site but i cant remember it right now. they all had the A on their T-shirts at WC.

too much kite??? LOL.
arent you selling off your fleet too?

Trikbitz - 27-10-2010 at 01:47 PM

My set have been sold now they are were the black with the grey underside sounds like one could have found its way to your side of the water.
yeah these are a full on race kite and would be great for the speed runs at NABX

I will post on the Spanish forum good thinking

Trikbitz - 8-11-2010 at 12:07 PM

Who asked why are all the combats for sale
Dan is now on the water hence this set for sale
Ryan jumped ship to Peter Lynn
And Lewis wants some C2s

Like has been said the Proto is out of the new kite but who knows whhen it will be out racing

Trikbitz - 26-11-2010 at 12:38 PM

Well they still here anyone????

Trikbitz - 19-1-2011 at 04:03 PM

Time these had gone so it's time to drop the price £2250 for the full set kite only that has to be deal of the year

Trikbitz - 29-1-2011 at 01:39 PM

These are what you need for Nabx They are fast enough to get the RECORD

Bladerunner - 29-1-2011 at 06:55 PM

PKD was getting the respect it deserves and the Century was very popular. I think we had a " pass the Combat " on here ? Around the time the Combat came out the North American Rep' , Pablo on here lost interest bringing PKD and other stuff down in his wake.

They are doing a good job getting Re-established thanks to Big Kid. + the PKD team from GB joining us at NABX .

It's a bit bold to say a Combat will get you a world record but folks flying PKD have the right to claim contention.

Trikbitz - 31-1-2011 at 01:37 PM

Steffans speeds were very close to Arries last year with one early morning run taking the prize
I know Steffan is looking to go one step better this year wind permitting
In the Uk the combats did very well in the races

On the PKD front they are on the way up with the new Buster soulfly being one of the best entry level kites out there, while the Century 2s is proving its self on the race front.

dylanj423 - 31-1-2011 at 05:02 PM

youre prob gonna have batter luck breaking that set apart... i may buy a larger size if the price is right... i seriously doubt anyone on here is going to buy the whole set outright... no matter how good a deal it is

Trikbitz - 7-2-2011 at 02:48 PM

This is a custom PKD team set which at this time i dont want to split. The 15.4m has been out the bag twice max as Dan is only around 80 Kg that kite on its own is worth half what I am asking for the set
