bobalooie57 - 22-10-2010 at 04:57 PM

I hope no-one has posted yet 'cause you are all so dog tired from a day of buggin that there's no energy to type! Or you are partying so hardy that you couldn't care less, just realise, I am living vicariously through you all!:spin:Gotta hope you had a better day than me, but it would be hard to top mine! Started out with a meeting re the Tug Hill fest, Jan 15-17, 2011 at the chamber of commerce, but thats another post. Then I went to Southwick and had a new PB of 25.4MPH! on my 2M Beamer in NW wind @15g25! All the while wishing I was in Wildwood. Did WG hit 41?? I hope he gets the right wind for it this weekend!

25.4 was my first personal best in the buggy at OOBE field in Aiken SC. Ironically, Pokitetrash was there with me that day and is at Wildwood having a big time and not letting us enjoy their exploits! Onward and upward with the pb looie! Congrats!

Good Morning,

Had no other choice but to sleep, I was so exhausted although for some strange reason the smile would refuse to leave my face. Do you know how weird it is waking up in the morning looking into the mirror only to see this silly grin from ear to ear? Silly. It was that kind of good that filled the day with laughter, mishaps and brother hood with the wind.

Early on the wind was gusting horribly with one recorded gust of 40mph. Few braved with success while I viewed from the head quarters monitoring the weather as it changed. About noon weather predicted that it would calm down a little and it did, a group of hit the beach. I managed to pull in an 18 mile run with speeds of 35mph while Rian clicked out over a 60 mile trip on his day.

All in all a true epic day with almost 30g of video to weed through. I've never seen so many GoPro's hanging off helmet's in my life :singing: Hopefully we'll be able to see that video from everyone. Here we go again for another round today, lets see what will happen.

Hey Rian! Great job, where did you go, to AC? lol Can't wait to see all the vids, haha Go-Pro Nation! :borg: I went looking on thurs for a new camera, went to every store in the Watertown (nearest 'big city' lol) area, and no one had ever even heard of the Go-Pro, or any other helmet mountable camera. You should have seen most of their faces when I told them what I needed it for! I know I could have got the sweet deal when Todd had the group order, but at the time I was saving to get to Wildwood, now that cash is free for a new cam. Might wait for the Tachyon XC in HD(they've even got a 3-D model!), Nov.1st, looks tough, saves a few bucks!

Thanks Bob! It was a really fun day. I was using one of Fran's blokarts and he made that exact same comment about going to AC, lol. Really wish you could have made it here to share in the good times, you were missed!
