Waiting....

indigo_wolf - 27-10-2010 at 12:07 PM

Traversed = 899 KM
Miles To Go = 498KM

Patiently watching the progress of an inbound kite on Google Maps is not a good sign.

This seems oddly appropriate....

One of my all time favorite movies.

That must mean I'm old. :sniff:

WELDNGOD - 27-10-2010 at 03:18 PM

Sam, I just got my trampa in 2 days. I told Ryan at Trampa shack ,not to have it shipped until the 25th ,because I was gonna be at WWBB. I got it today! DHL ROCKS!

Doesn't really answer the question.

Ozone Flow 2M (eBay). Have wanted one for a bit, because I like how the 3M flies.... a lot. Couldn't justify due to overlap, but 1 hour before auction end there were no other bids and the asking price was too tempting.... especially RTF and with probably less than 4 hours of flight time on it.

I love the 2m Flow. It was actually my most used kite at this Wildwood. I was buggying with it both Thursday and Friday.

Ooooohh... Retroactive deniability!!!!

I can "blame" the purchase (retroactively, of course) on your glowing praises.

Awesome!!! :singing:   ;)

Easier to track via Canada Post.

Hit the US a couple of days ago. I expect the folks at US Customs will get a few flights in before sending it along my way.

USPS won't let me track again until it's on my desk. "Track and Confirm" has always been more "Confirm" and less "Track." ;)

Last weekend, ordered Sat. :1 Full face Helmet from Jensen USA, arr. Friday. 1 Helmet skinz from motovation racing, not here yet. Ordered Sunday : Tachyon XC Micro helmet cam, arrived Wednesday! Still waiting for the helmet skinz, oh well, I figured a bubblepack envelope would get here fastest.

Maven454 - 1-11-2010 at 07:28 AM

Just to wet your whistle. In Todd's new vid, you can watch ragden flying my 2m Flow from 2:35 to 3:46.

chudalicious - 1-11-2010 at 07:34 AM

Flew my 2m flow yesterday in some gusty crap ranging from 8 to 20 mph... What a great kite! It's a zippy little bugger too.

Enjoy indigo!

bobalooie57 - 1-11-2010 at 08:13 AM

Well, I lied, the helmet skinz was in this morning's mail, and it came in a small flat rate box, not a bubble pack. So here's a pic. This is the helmet as it comes, with the camera mount attached.

This is with it on and camera mounted.

And with the skinz, you know it had to be outrageous!

And with it on.

Oh my.... I don't think I belong to any "normal" forums... at all, at all.

Here's a good helmet story: A million years ago, I ordered a full face helmet. Waited and waited and when it finally arrived, I wanted to try it on, but felt self-conscious because I was at work. So I had to wait until folks cleared out. I was working late and so were others, so it wasn't until much later that I finally got to try on the helmet. Just then, I heard a noise a the door, and popped up from the cubicle. I forgort I was wearing the helmet.

Upon hearing me stand up the security guard turned around. I am pretty sure he wasn't expecting anyone in the office. I am also pretty sure he wasn't expecting anyone in a black full-face helmet and dark face shield. Pretty sured I scared the bejeebers out of him (I seem to have a track record with security guards). Attached is a picture of the ad for the helmet.

Flow 2M waiting for me when I arrived this morning. Along with it came.... rain.

Weather control through kite purchases. Really need to look into this as a revenue stream from local farmers.
