What would you choose out of these two mbs core 16 or the mbs core 8
lite or heavy?
windthing2 - 28-9-2005 at 04:43 AM
I suggest the core 8 if your light and the comp 6 if your heavy... Great boards

what do you think of the mbs comp 16
gribble - 28-9-2005 at 05:41 PM
I've got a comp 16 and it's pucka , loads of pop and it's way light and very stable .
william_rx7 - 28-9-2005 at 07:42 PM
Comp 16 rocks, recommended
windthing2 - 29-9-2005 at 04:18 AM
Comp16 is a great board.all the components are top of the line .The deck is just too long for my taste.the comp 6 is the same board just shorter so
better for Kiting and freestyle with no noticable loss of stability.

I have the Comp 16 pro and like it because I also downhill a bit. So the extra length is cool. Ditto on the pop, great board!

All the 16 boards are the same size. Core is cheapest, with cheaper components. Comp is a better built, top of the line stuff. The 16 pro Leon
Robbins is supposed to be incredible. Ill have one later this week. The 8 sized boards are smaller, and the comp 26x is 10cm longer than the 16's
(bout 4 inches) and also has 9" wheels instead of 8". All are availible from my shop.

if ur looking for something for kiteing get the mbs pro 6 (alex brown pro model) i have it... didnt try it with a kite yt but it is made for kiting
and is also great for just downhill and everything else
AlexBrown - 27-2-2007 at 07:46 PM
Hey,
The pro 6 is all you need. Its super light weight, but still has incredibly strong materials and components for all the kiting you can handle! It
comes with alloy wheels which are just baaaaadass, a cool graphic, and the stiffer board means you get more pop from it, just like a snowboard of kite
surf board.
Also in the top end range of boards on the MBS range in particular, is the Pro 16 and Pro 12. They offer slightly different components and set up, but
gives you the option to look at cost.
Hope that give you a better idea! Come to the NABX in April to demo any of the boards you like man.
Any body else going?

Ground Industries Patrol 106 is a sweet deck. Their cube technology allows you to fine tune your board for your specific needs/riding style. Def worth
a look and demo! Of course, being a SC based company, Ive gotta support the home team! as usual..........stoaked!!

Well after today I'd def have to say the Patrol 106. My 12 yr old made his first successful attempt at landboarding using his HQ Symphony 2.7 in 15 to
20 mph hour winds--he was CRUISING!! Although all his runs were downwind, he was able to control the board and kite and was hauling butt! The only bad
thing was I didnt get it on film or vid! as usual.........................
