Blokart For Sale - Sold!

pokitetrash - 2-11-2010 at 08:04 AM

Decided to get rid of one of my Blokarts. We just never use 2 at once so one has to go.

It's a Sport model, meaning powder coated.

Great condition, Mechanically sound, ready to ride.
Comes with 3 meter sail and fiberglass mast. Its a few years old, has a few scratches but no defects other than rear tires are cracked but still hold air fine and the padding on the steering bar is torn. The sail has just come back from being professionally repaired by a sail shop in Oriental, NC and is excellent. The repair was from where I lost a batten at NABX going Ludicrous Speed. The batten strap beat so hard in the wind it tore out of the sail. A new one was installed and is probably stronger than OEM. I still need to replace the batten and I will pay for/order it (or them if its a set) and ship diret to you. The sail is usable as is, just high winds (25 mph plus) will flap the trailing edge (thats how it ripped).

Cost New with the 3m sail and mast around $2400 plus shipping

Selling for $1500 shipped anywhere in the US and since Shipping is around $150, you should all bow down to how generous and loveable I am!.

So $1500 including shipping!

Pics somewhere below

You buggy put its foot down after this last vacation where you split time again huh?

pokitetrash - 2-11-2010 at 09:05 AM

Yea, I got away with it for a long time. :ticking:

I don't use them more than a few times a year anymore. While they are a blast at a beach (I might get to one maybe twice a year) I was only riding them at the polo field when I was too chicken to fly a fixed bridle, but now that I have my Phantoms, the inland wind is my buddy again. Cash sitting on my wall.

rocfighter - 2-11-2010 at 10:14 AM

Hey Man maybe Cheesy wants them
Sorry Cheesy I had to.
But seriously if I had the cash I would snag those up for The Kidd and I or Sandy. Too bad can't happen, they are sweet rides.

cheezycheese - 3-11-2010 at 04:44 AM

Actually I do want them... Especially since I broke one of 'em it's like I have a bond!!! However I have a car in for MAJOR surgery....
Don't worry about the break guys, was repaired on the spot and is good as new...

rocfighter - 3-11-2010 at 04:45 AM

It's not easy you know!!! :bigok:

pokitetrash - 3-11-2010 at 10:50 AM

Common Cheesy! Scrap the car and ride a Blokart to work. Go Green!

pokitetrash - 18-11-2010 at 03:19 PM

Ok, sorry for the delay in gettin these pictures. I guess the lack of motivation to post them reflects not really wanting to sell them, but cash hanging on the wall and all that....

...Ok, how do you post multiple Pics guys. I'm beaten. I can only get it to load one.

How 'bout we do this, I post this feel good pic of my bud and my kid on my 2 Blokarts and I'll send an email packet with a bunch of pics in it to anyone who wants to see the pics instead of me trying to load 10 different posts with a pic each...

It's already well below what I paid by ALOT. I'm not really worried about selling them. I think it's a fair price based on the used market for them and specifically the expensive sails. Just trying to thin the toy locker. I don't mind taking a loss for them-- I'd be happy that they get used by someone. They just sit on my wall most of the year.

I want to try PKF first to give our kite buddies first shot but I might try Flea Bay and post them on a landsailer forum. I'm just too lazy to set up accounts on other forums...

rocfighter - 21-11-2010 at 06:26 PM

I would not mind having them but guess what we are going to look at tomorrow morning?
You will smile and laugh when you find out what we want to buy. I can't believe Sandy in as excited about this idea as I am :Ange09:
Ok I give you three guesses before I tell ya!

I was fortunate enough to steal some time with one of these. At JIBE. So much fun! Had one up on 2 wheels right away and off I went for a ride down the beach with minimal effort....definately a must have for those days when your kite has you whipped but you're just not done riding!

Self Bumping to repost since one is now for sale. Again...

I know. Shouldn't self bump. Could go blind...

I have battens for the Blokart's in stock if you need them, they can be purchased separately or as a complete set. This is a fantastic deal and the Blokarts are awesome fun to ride.

Just a FYI, the Blokart packs down into it's own bag that you can pick up and carry around. It will fit into the trunk or back seat of most mid sized cars to hauling it around is super easy to do and almost easier than a buggy. To store it, you can hang the bag in your garage on the wall or just roll it in on it's own wheels. It takes up minimal space and assembles in less than 3 minutes.

Here is some more info on the Blokart's on my site.

Make sure to check out the video on the bottom of the page - that was taken earlier this year during the NALSA event a week before NABX at Ivanpah.

Looks like it would be a blast to have one of these... almost as much fun as a Hobie Cat, but then the Hobie cat always took up most of my garage instead of just some space on the wall (something my wife at the time was less than thrilled about). Wish I had an extra $1500 in the toy budget right now so that I could take this off your hands. Best wishes for a quick sale! Jim

I had a Hobie Cat too and it was a blast but it was like pulling teeth to get someone to sail with me. No one wanted to help step the mast and they watch their friends water skiing. I showed them the you tube vids of dudes water skiing behind a Hobie but still it was doomed. That's why im selling this extra Blokart. Just hanging on the wall.

KsKiteAddict - 27-7-2012 at 05:47 PM

Oh yes, the dreaded task of stepping the mast. I don't know why anyone would not like sailing on a Hobie if invited, but to each their own. I was talking to someone last night that has a bunch of kiting gear for sail on another site and she knows a lot of people into land sailing. I sent her the link for your Blokart.

pokitetrash - 28-7-2012 at 04:56 PM

Thanks for the push! We have a permanent camp site at the lake now with cheap boat storage. I can leave a boat set up with the mast stepped right by the camper. Started looking g for another one!

KsKiteAddict - 28-7-2012 at 05:42 PM

I've bought two great kites from you in the past (love them both) and will probably buy something else in the future when you decide you can part with it, so I may as well help where I can to sell this item. I am already jealous of your camp site with the boat storage. I could step the mast myself when I owned a 14 ft Hobie, but when I moved to a 16 ft, it became a royal pain in the butt. The economy is probably affecting all of us... I would jump on this Blokart of yours if I had the extra cash at the moment. Even post-poning the much-needed purchase of tires for my truck wouldn't help me buy this one.
