Power Kite Forum

Hello, new to the forum!

Corman - 2-11-2010 at 04:29 PM

Hello all, I'm Todd's son, Corey. I've joined this site to learn a little more about kiting, and techniques with everything.

I've been flying for about 6 years, and have been buggying for about 3 or so years. I absolutely love to fly, especially my 3.5 PKD Century Soulfly. All in all that is my most favorite kite. It's like it has a personality, it just wants to jump out of the bag and fly in the air as soon as it gets the chance. Fun to fly and a very addictive race kite. You'll always want more.

i also fly some Peter Lynn products like the 2.3 core, and a couple Beamers like the 1.4. All are great kites to fly. To make the story short, I love to fly and love to buggy.

Hope to see everyone out there on the beach!
-Corey

I like this kid, knows a good kite when he flys it. Dad could learn a thing or to from him.
Welcome to the forum, Corey. Anytime you want to increase that quiver of yours, you know where to find me.:yes::yes::yes:
Maybe dad will let you try out the big ones he has coming.

rocfighter - 2-11-2010 at 06:04 PM

Hey Corey, Welcome to the forum. So now you need to spread some of your knowlage to the rest of us. After all a noob doesn't ride an Ivanpah :tumble:

Corman - 2-11-2010 at 06:31 PM

Hello there Kent, I appreciate the buggy very much! The Ivanpah has been a very amazing buggy. I've done more drifts in the Ivanpah than in the previous buggy. I absolutely love this one!

With the design of the Ivanpah, it has inspired me to create my own buggy, with odd futuristic designs. Hopefully to be just as good as the Ivanpah someday.

Rich, thank you for the welcome! The East Coast Kite Sports gang is all here!

Jeff, thank you for the welcome as well! Anyone who is a fan of the PKD's is a friend of mine! The kites themselves definitely teach you a great lesson in flying, making your kiting experience a much more unique approach on handling it.

Dave, I will always have a river flowing with information on flying and buggying, almost as much as my father.

flash - 3-11-2010 at 08:07 PM

crap another Corey.... can we give you a nickname so when I meet you at NABX or a buggy bash i don't have to say "oh.. not that corey, the other corey" :)

I suggest without knowing anything about you:
Patchy, Cap'n Skullcrack, High Voltage, Windstorm, Jinx or Thunderball

Oh and welcome!!

WELDNGOD - 4-11-2010 at 02:31 AM

I'll just call him "teammate"

Kamikuza - 4-11-2010 at 03:43 AM

Tibi - 4-11-2010 at 10:06 AM

Welcome Corey!
Here, on the East Coast, I don't know any other Corey, who's into kiting...yet

doublespeed360 - 4-11-2010 at 02:38 PM

i'v met both corey's and there's no mistake who's who, there's only one" buckshot benson"00, it would be nice if the two could meet could learn a lot like how to run shot-car races.

ah crap... I think that is a sign of the coming apocalypse!

Sparky.... I am going to call this Corey : Sparky. Hi SPARKY!!! I like sparky, I want to fly with Sparky... Sparky sounds like a stand up guy that would be fun to fly with!

Sparky, if you ever meet me I promise to have at least one growlers worth of beer for you for adopting this nickname. Maybe even a brownie... or a stick of gum... or.. uhm.... A hand made bandage tattoo.

Two growlers and a hug from me (and I give the best ones!) if you show up wearing a skirt (check with Popeye and all of 'dem for what color said skirt should be)

rocfighter - 4-11-2010 at 06:28 PM

Flash I think you'll need to hold off on the beer as Coreman is still a young'n But I bet he'd like the huggggggg!!!:spin:

Corman - 4-11-2010 at 06:31 PM

Ha ha, thank you all for the welcome again!

And "flash" thank you for the welcome, and hope to see you out there on the beach sometime!

In fact, for which ever nickname I receive, I hope to see everyone out there at the next buggy bash!

CarterM - 8-11-2010 at 03:58 AM

Hi all im also new one here looking for the place to introduce my self i have got this forum from my friend and i think i have got the right one and i hope that i would be welcomed by the other members of this forum

BeamerBob - 8-11-2010 at 07:49 AM

Welcome to you as well Carter. Why don't you start a new thread and introduce and tell us about yourself, what you fly, how long you've been at it, stuff like that. You have to work really hard to not be welcome here. A few have managed wearing out their welcome, but most folks just fit right in.
