Finally, something I can speak intelligently on...
Tried the reverse cambers last year and was so impressed, I bought 3 of em- one Burton, one Forum (made by Burton) and one Gnu. The turning is much
more forgiving and though I cannot speak to kiting, the hill felt great with them.
If you kite/board in icy conditions, I would avoid the Burton/Forum line. Nice stuff but the edge tech they use cannot even come close to the
performance of the magnetraction. I did a side by side one icy day and could hold an edge on the gnu versus taking some nasty spills on my other
boards.
Because of the mostly icy crap I've heard we get on the lakes around new England, I've pretty much already figured my gnu will also double as my snow
kite board when I get to try that later in the season as I would think you also need to edge hard when kiting.
If you get the custom though, get it with a rocker - you won't regret it! Seems like it would be stiff enough for the kite too.
My fiance got the blunt last season. He's a big fan but has not yet encountered the ice I had fun with at the end of last season.
NOW FOR SOME FREAKING SNOW PLEASE?!?!? :P

+1 on Magnatraction. go with a GNU or Lib Tech. Also there made near Canada in NW Washington. I think they make kids sized so one should fit you
perfect.

I don't board - I ski. But my Lib-Tech Park & Pipes with MagnaTraction are awesome on the scattered bare ice and wind-blown snow we end up with
on Minnesota lakes for a good part of the year. I also keep my edges tuned and bases conditioned.
They are also fun on the slopes with our icy, manufactured snow - the edges hang in there really well when on the corn or 'bb's' that turns into ice
in the shade or after the sun goes down.

For ice I decided to get a cheaper board. The Forum Manual so I can use it on park as well in them local hills.
When it finally snows I'm taking everyone on the idea of getting a Lib Tech. So let me know what 2011 board is good?

Some of the folks around here that board on glare ice swear by the Switchblade. Check it out:

You have to drill holes to mount it, so having a cheap board is a plus.

Has anyone tried the Nobile RM (Remi Meum) Pro?
As far as I can tell its the only snowkite specific board you can get from a UK retailer but I guess there are probably more out there in the States?
Not being up to Remi's standards i'm quite happy on my palmer twintip but would be interested to hear if there is much difference using a kite
specific snowboard.

I've got a switchblade.. Magne Traction doesn't even come close to being as effective as the switchblade Todd makes for icy lakes. I do have lib
tech skis with magne traction that are nice. Actually, they call them NAS. Narrow ass snowboards, since Lib Tech doesn't make skis..

for ice that switchblade sounds neat, got any pictures RudeB? the website didnt contain much
for snow i really dont see the difference from Reg Snowboard to a Kite Snowboard other than the edges and the shape.
