Lately my quiver has flipped upside down and I am trying to rebuild the "perfect" quiver.
I'm selling off my smaller foils and going to tubes (usually smaller kite winds around here are gusty/rainy and I've just decided tubes are the right
choice for smaller kite conditions (for now)
My big kite is a 15m Speed3. I also have a 14m and 10m rebel. the 14m vegas is kind of pointless with the 15m speed.
I am thinking the 15m will be used on lightwind days with a twin tip. Then I want a 12m tube that I would use for strapless and then twin tip.
Anybody have a kite they are in love with in the 12m size that is worth lookin into? Think I should be looking for a different size?ripsessionkites - 14-11-2010 at 11:01 AM
i love rabbits!!! but that technoforce sounds like wonders too.tridude - 14-11-2010 at 11:40 AM
second the rabbits....12m Wainman is awesome Big Steve...............great range and fly alot lie FSers in relation to bar work..............great
unstapped on a direcdtional .............check out the meet up thread under Jekyll Island..................bigsteve - 14-11-2010 at 11:51 AM
sweet. I've been eyeing the wainman's actually. for hooked in stuff it just has to set me down soft. I get soo spoiled by the sweet landings of the
speed 3. but I don't know if that can be rivaled on an inflatable.
I have a local dealer here thats been offering me demos everytime I come in. I'll see if he can set me up with a loaner.bigsteve - 14-11-2010 at 11:09 PM
So guys.. i've been reading up on the boss and it sounds like a pretty solid kite. What kinds of winds do you use it in (ex.. bare minimum, ideal,
lit)? What do you really like about the kite?
riding it twin twip as a solid freeride kite is a must. My interest and enjoyment strapless is there, but it is only about 25% of my riding.
I'm an oldschool jumper at heart, and have been dabbling in getting better at load and pop stuff.
So far the only big draw back to these is their foil like price..ripsessionkites - 15-11-2010 at 02:21 AM
are you in Wash, DC or Wash State?
i can make a road trip south if you're in State. I have a Rabbit 7, 9, 12, 15 ... and you can demo as you please.bigsteve - 15-11-2010 at 09:45 AM
Sweet! I am in the state. In Seattle. that is awesome. How often do you come down?ripsessionkites - 15-11-2010 at 10:06 AM

no enough but bellingham at locust is always a great place to ride.
let me figure out my dates, and set something up with you.bigkid - 15-11-2010 at 11:02 AM
bigsteve, there are a few of us in the Seattle area. You might want to check out Jason Clack at Motion Boardshop. He is up on 84th and Aurora north of
Green Lake.bigsteve - 15-11-2010 at 01:16 PM
Yup. I was there yesterday actually. They have a 9m hanging around. My loyalty definitely goes to the local shop first (no offense ripsession),
however, they currently aren't super active with the rabbit line, although they can get them.
I'd hate to have them drag in a 12 for me to demo since I am not really sure I'd buy it yet.
Is he on this forum?bigkid - 15-11-2010 at 05:47 PM

Not that I am aware of. He is big into kiteboarding and is just now getting back into kitebugging. I will be snowkiting with him this winter, he has a
few local spots they frequent that I hope to get in on.
I would ask him, the worst he could say is no.ripsessionkites - 16-11-2010 at 03:16 PM
