Welcome to Albuquerque, Balloon Fiesta Park is the place use North entrance to walk in or purchase annual gate key at golf pro shop for $ 20.00 to
drive in. Alternate Johnson field at UNM ( wind shadows ) All other green areas ok if you want to deal with pedestrian traffic, dogs and A*******.
Today 15/25 west EXCELLENT. Randy

Ryan,
Not sure if you got my pm but i just repeat myself here.
You are correct, Balloon Fiesta Park is a great place to fly, huge field space. Also there is a place called Arroyo Del Oso park, which is fairly good
sized. Google Maps should give you and accurate directions to the places.
I have the pass to get on the field if we meet up sometime
There are some other parks around the city that might be good but I live in the most NE part.
I dont live in ABQ now, as I am going to college in Las Cruces, but maybe over winter break we could go fly. Dec 10- Jan sometime

Hi All, first post here. I live in Albuquerque and have always been interested in power kites. I recently got a good deal on a 5m kite so I bought it
but after researching I think it may be too ambitious. Thinking of trying it out at the Balloon park in very light winds and see how it goes. Does
anyone from Abq. go out regularly, and if so, would you be willing to give some tips to newbie?

Welcome Currani, It's a little FROSTY for the next two dayz By sat the snow should melt and temps get above 20degs.
Perhaps 1-2PM sat enter thru north parking field I usually park on center runway west side - white van. 5m might be ambitious for first outing, we
will keep you SAFE. B/4 coming out review tutorials on coastal wind web site.
If you get lost my cel 459-4789
