Does Pansh sell kite killers now?

Maven454 - 4-12-2010 at 09:12 AM

Last I heard, I thought they still labeled their kite killers as experimental, but they are making them.

The Flux is still listed as a prototype on (portions of) the Pansh website. As are the kite killers.

How hard could it be to make some kite killers? Shock chord wrapped in dyneema with a crimped fabric coating, attached to a velcro strap :P

As for the kites, pretty good deal here. $150 for two kite completes to chuck around. Beginner's luck?

Cheers,
Seanny

Didn't say that it was difficult, just seems funny. (Funny ha-ha, not funny uh-oh.)

The Fluxes are a new line coming to Pansh. Both are prototypes. Both are free. The 4m is obtained by making an order of $239 or more (US). The 2m (along with the kite killers) is free with any order as a limited time "Christmas Gift" to registered members.
I flew the Flux 2m today for the 1st time. It's a blast to fly and as stetson05 stated: "it flys like a bumblebee on crack". Not alot of pull, but I was leaning back pretty good when working the kite in the powerzone with a 10 mph breeze. Would be a good buggy / snow kite in higher winds.
Also, a good trainer. Had a guy stop by and he did just fine with it as a 1st time flyer. If they had a 7m Flux I would buy one in a heart beat.
Pansh kites are not top end but quite frankly a good value for the $.

Ok Guys

Heres the deal...

The Flux is the new kite from Pansh, it hasn't been released as yet and is only available to members of the Pansh site.
Now I was part of the PTP that tested the Flux prototypes and found the Flux to handle the same as my old Ozone Little Devils, which means that it's a great flying kite! Kiteboyz can confirm this.

Now, on the Pansh site, the most comparable kite to the new 4m Flux that they already sell is the Blaze.
A 3m Blaze sells for $149, and the 5m is $179, neither of these kites come with the kite killers.
The only kite comparable to the 2m Flux(size wise) is the 2m Legend that sells for $99, again without the kite killers. The Flux will fly circles around the Legend.

When the Fluxes are finally released, I'm guessing that the retail on the 4m to be at least the same as the 5m Blaze, $179, and it will come complete with lines, handles and the kite killers. Keeping in mind that the Flux uses a nicer sailcloth than the Blaze and the bridle on the Flux is is lightyears nicer than the one on the Blaze as well.

Sooooo.......

$179+$99=$278

So my asking price of $150 for both of these brand new Fluxes is a steal!!!!!!!

Hey Blake, good luck. I brought the PtP to the PKF and there was not alot of interest. It currenly is w/van . I will have to find and check the very short list of peeps who want to try it and see who is next.
I had the 4m flux at WWBB and several of us flew it static and everyone agreed that it flew really well, very user friendly. No one wanted to buggy w/ it though. I had it out in the kite laydown area for people to fly, not sure how many peeps flew it though.I was busy cruisin' up and down the beach:wee:.

It is a good deal  for a nooby. I would let anyone fly this kite.

I buggy with it in about 10mph wind last week and it was a blast to fly. The quality of the cloth and bridle is top notch compared to my 5m legend. I don't have alot of fixed bridle kite to compare to but I do like the way it flies. It is a much faster kite than the legend. It flies fast enough so that even when I mess up in my turns, the buggy never overtook the kite. I give Pansh a thumbs up for improving on their design and quality.

WD, let me know when / who to ship the kite to. I would like to keep it for another week or so to fully test it's buggying capability.
