The Holiday Season is Approaching

macboy - 3-12-2010 at 03:57 PM

Doing my part around my neck of the woods to spread the Christmas cheer - I hope all you PKFers are doing the same!

I love this time of year - I get to buy myself stuff "From Santa" and it's nearly all guilt free

Ice Carving - Stack

Ice Carving - Halfway

Ice Carving - Ready for Santa

Each horizontal line is 20 inches of height give or take. This is about 2,000 pounds of ice ; )

Are you the artist Macboy?? If so, I gotta say that's impressive work:thumbup:. Your skills should be in high demand........at least for half the year:smilegrin:

Top o' the old Xmas list for me....if Santa doesn't come through on the Recons I may have to get Santa's little helper....we'll call him "Veeza" to hook me up ; )

And yup....artist in residence. I've been quite shocked this season actually....a reporter was talking with me about that snowflake carving and asked how long I'd been at it and I'm over the 10 year mark! Man alive time files......I think I'm heading into my fifth snowkite season too? Could that be?

Derek told me you did ice sculptures but I never had seen any before.
You participate in events/compititions? i'm sure the little fella (Spencer) would really like to see your work [then take a trip to Candy Cane Lane (is it open yet?)]

We'll be there during the evenings of the 15th and 16th - out front of the West End Christian Reformed Church at 149th st and 101 ave? The northern access to Candy Cane Lane. Definitely come by. We'll put a chisel or chainsaw in your hands and get you hooked to. I'm trying to build a team to go up to Ice Alaska in 5-10 years time.
