Bar Width

Is the depower bar width measurement from the centers of the steering lines or the ends of the grip? I have a flysurfer bar that i believe is 70cm measuring center to center of the lines but the literature says the kite comes with a 65cm bar.

It seems to me from trial and error that how it's measured actually varies... which is odd. <-- am i right or crazy?

I'd just use the line to line measurement, that's where the real work is done, not in the pretty wing ends ;) But 65-70cm is a 5cm difference or about 2 inches, or 1" per side; so if they are measuring differently it should be pretty easy to spot. Plus you can look at the other bars they sell and there should be fiarly clear seperation in their lengths.

I agree. Line to line. My 3 bars come up with standard measurements line to line.

I'm with arkay. Nothing seems to match up but like Bob said, I believe it's line-to-line, where it goes into the bar horns ...

Thanks. Yes, it must be line to line.
What bar width would be good for a 15-16m arc?

I like big ones. Get a Navigator bar and you can change if you feel like it.

Most of the measurements I've seen seem to be from where the bar interfaces with the leaders.

I use my 60cm bar on all my arcs 15m and above. 55 on my 10 (and 12 when I get one). Shorty on the 8m VII
