Thanks for understanding

I has really been quite a year for me and hospitals. I am now bionic in both knees, cancer is in remission and neck is not broken anymore. '
I must apologize for my sporadic and delayed email responses in the past year. I have a renewed outlook and will be most attentive to the business going forward. Look for the new web site with new products and pricing.
Thanks again for your support when I was being repaired.
Best Wishes for the Holidays!
Have a Merry Christmas
May the New Year bring Health, Wealth and Happiness
FOR ONE AND ALL

Jon

welcome back Jon! Happy Holidays indeed !

BeamerBob - 15-12-2010 at 02:39 PM

Hope to see you rolling on the playa real soon Jon. Onward and upward.

rocfighter - 15-12-2010 at 02:50 PM

It's a good thing to take your time with all the repairs. I did a 5 year rehab from when I was sick. It is a terrible wait but it's worth it in the end. I'm nearly as strong as I was and feeling great. I can only hope you have a successful recovery as well. I look forward to meeting you some day. So keep it up.
No pressure! ;-)

great hearing from you jon ,stay well and see you on the playa. paul

bigkid - 15-12-2010 at 08:47 PM

Glad to hear the good news.
It's like running a marathon race for the 1st time and finding out you finish just before the cut off time. Congratulations.
The best part for me no more Mr, Grumpy.
We should start a bionic old man group and kick some young butts. I nominate Jon as president:thumbup:

Kamikuza - 15-12-2010 at 08:50 PM

... I don't think I'm old enough to join that club

sand flea - 15-12-2010 at 11:26 PM

I am so glad you are doing better Jon.

I sure had a great time at SOBB thanks to you, Bison, VW Brian, Eli and Brian Holgate and many other fantastic people. You guys are some of the finest Ambassadors of the sport. Thanks for spending so much time with me teaching me to buggy. I now have the ability to pilot my buggy anywhere I want to up and down the beach.
Have a very Merry Christmas and please save me a Hardcore for Spring.
Chris

 Looks like you're tired of that PL buggy already.

Jon it's good to hear you're back up and "running"

sunset-Jim - 16-12-2010 at 08:31 AM

Uh Oh, watch out for the bionic Jon :borg: Hope to cya soon.

BTW, all is secure at the homestead. Have had a couple of good storms come thru.

jellis - 16-12-2010 at 05:34 PM

Thanks for the well wishes. Now it is time to get back in the buggy and jump off that dune. Hope to cross paths with everyone next year at SOBB, DBBB and the North American BloKart Sailing Championships 03/25 thru 03/30/2011 at Ivanpah Dry Lake.

jellis - 16-12-2010 at 07:31 PM

I hope I don't get into as much trouble as Ricardo, but I am getting ready to post a garage sale.

Bladerunner - 16-12-2010 at 07:40 PM

Hey Jon,

How is the " Speed Buggy " project coming along? It will be great to see another contender out there ! It was really looking the business last spring!

jellis - 17-12-2010 at 01:06 PM

I had to dismantle it this past fall, and it is waiting in a corner of the shop for me. The assembly requires a sheet of bendable foam to cover the frame. Then it can be faired, covered with a thin glass fabric and System Three epoxy. Then the form inside can be gutted, bracing back to the buggy installed, access for the pilot cut, kayak rubber boot installed in the pilot area and a few adjustment and we are ready. Weights will be installed inside and high speed tires acquired.
Then Bison and Eli will pilot the craft out on the Alvord dry lake bed. In the past Ivanpah was a great venue for the speed record but as the crowds grew so does the danger of an accident increase. Looking for that 100mph mark.

Morrie Williams - 17-12-2010 at 01:18 PM

It's great to hear that your body tuneup is complete. You should be in great shape for next year's buggying season.

When do you plan to make the speed runs on Alvord?

ripsessionkites - 17-12-2010 at 01:19 PM

so that means Alvord is on... sweet another speed week. keep me posted. let's ride!!!

hehehe, we need invisible borders at NABX? wow, its growing big now. yeppie!!!
highway side is the extreme zone, speedsters ONLY. sadly the cameras aren't willing to walk all the way out there to film.
