I've never been to Vancouver Island for Christmas. I brought my ATB hoping to catch some low tide action but that ain't gonna happen . Low Tides at 1 in the morning. But today it peaked at 13c and a steady breeze why didn't I bring my water gear.

Yeah and today its surging to over 60km/h and really pouring down rain. Tommorrow is calling for 50mm+ rain as well. Really gonna be mad if I can't fly my kites and ride atb at least for one short session. Out here to visit family so its definitely murphys law:lol:

Same with me yesterday - went to the lake to static fly the Psycho and the Synergy ... wind turned out better than expected and I probably could have survived the cold

Yeah you know the weather is bad when they shut down the ferries. Worst part is that when I left home it was like -30c with the chill. For the next 5 days the forecast is calling for 15-25km/h winds and anywhere from -1 to -11 including windchills. When I leave here next Thursday it is suppose to clear up here and the temps start dropping back to -30 for lows. Lots of time off to kite and the best kiting weather at home and I still can't fly. :(

Don't get too stressed Shags' ,

I came from the rain to Alberta and managed to kill the wind on yet another Christmas trip. At least we got enough to get some big kite rides and it WASN'T minus 30 !

Woke up to 0 wind again today. 13kph at Ghost lake but they aren't predicting it will hold.

Where is this Chinook everybody was talking about ?
