Why do Flysurfer kites go out of tune?
What about Ozone?
I don't hear anything about mixer tests or fixing
this line or that line on an Ozone.....or any other
depower foil..

I think its because of the line they use in the bridle leg which passes through the pulleys. On my ozone, the line that goes through the pulley is
the same as the leader on my bar so that's not really going to shrink as its not under considerable load in a pulley given its likely overall
strength.
Flysurfer uses much thinner lines which are prestretched and likely have less load bearing capacity and hence shrink under load and heat in the
pulley.
They do, in theory, offer less drag as they are thinner so they make a more effecient sail but they shrink.
I'd prefer they use a beefier line that is not subject to shrinkage.
My guess is all kites, ozone, FS or otherwise which use a depower bridle system, will come out of tune over time. FS at least provides a method of
correcting / tuning the kite as they age or to the riders preference.

Do they use the same lines on smaller kites?
I don't think line drag would be a problem in big winds..
I bet other depower foils do go out of tune but I never hear anything about it
Flysurfers on the other hand.. all the time
I had a 17m and 13m speed1, trying to keep them in tune was a pain.

The links in the mixer test thread explain what it is for. I don't believe it is to compensate for bridle stretch. The adjustment is on the pulley
lines before the bridles. It does lead to the bridals and affects the cross section of the wing profile.
