IRONMAN GRIP! SECRET REVEALED

WELDNGOD - 8-1-2011 at 10:29 AM

Everyone at WW wanted to know how I ride all day on FBs with handles without a strop and harness. Here is the secret , 30 min . a day does wonders. I got one with a digital meter that keeps up w/ top rpm , current rpm , 90 second burst, and several other things. I love mine, it's very addicting. :wee: here is their website
http://www.powerballs.com/index.php?m=Home

BTW , my personal record is 10,010 rpms.

I remember seeing those things at Hermans sporting goods back in the '80's.., get that forearm burn... :bigok:

cheezycheese - 8-1-2011 at 11:31 AM

30 min per hand or total...? you must really have "the FIST of FURY!!!" when taking matters to hand....:lol::lol::lol::evil: (forgive me)

Houston AirHead - 8-1-2011 at 12:22 PM

you know i almost bought one of these after i clicked on the link. Im going to check and see if any stores have them before i buy online.

kiteetik - 8-1-2011 at 12:56 PM

never tried them, but i have flown blades for a long time --killer forearm workouts!! i used to just throw 495 lbs on the bar at home and at waist height, pick it up a couple inches and hold till i couldnt anymore--do that 3 times , two different grips, then take 90 lbs off the bar and go again...... i havent done them for a while because my upper back was giving me problems...... one thing for sure, you fly the big boys and you will get in shape--fast!

WELDNGOD - 8-1-2011 at 01:29 PM

Ive got the signiture edition w/ white LEDs in it that get very bright as you spin it up. uses no batteries except for the watch battery in the counter. I have had mine for about 4 yrs now. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 350Hz model.

BeamerBob - 8-1-2011 at 01:35 PM

Donnie, I'm not discounting the fact that you work with your hands every day either. You're constantly holding, carrying, picking up heavy things. Not to mention the actual welding. This thing might add to that though.

I like to feel like I got a good workout from a day flying myself. I draw the line at the 8.6 Reactor II. Anything below that I fly mostly by hand.

shaggs2riches - 8-1-2011 at 01:50 PM

wow:cool: Going to order the 250hz pro duo pack for the wife and I. Just looks like a blast and would add to our workouts from our new years resolutions. Believe it or not when I go for a three hour or better session with any of my depowers, even just gripping the bar all day will set off a mild case of tendinitis. This will help with that. Thanks for posting. :bigok:

WELDNGOD - 8-1-2011 at 02:07 PM

You won't be disappointed. With 2 of ,you can get 1 in ea. hand and get an awesome arm/upper torso/ shoulder workout.

Houston AirHead - 8-1-2011 at 02:26 PM

im ordering the 350hz metal badboy:D

WELDNGOD - 8-1-2011 at 04:27 PM

the heavy or the lite?

Houston AirHead - 8-1-2011 at 05:06 PM

Heavy, the $120 one. I was also thinking of just getting a 250hz neon or the Sig series. only 45 bucks

WELDNGOD - 8-1-2011 at 05:19 PM

The LEDs are sweet . And the Tecno uses led technology to show your speed. They are stronger than you think,I'll tell ya that much.Wear the wriststrap ,cause they try to get away from ya at high speed. And they don't like to be dropped.Try to get a little bag or buy the case for it, to keep it clean(very important).Back when I got my Sig series they had a little leather jacket w/ a zipper for a case. That is what mine is stored in . They really pump up your arms, you will discover muscles you didn't even know you had!:D

kiteetik - 8-1-2011 at 06:17 PM

they look cool--i might get one.....

WELDNGOD - 8-1-2011 at 06:40 PM

dynaball is NSDs competitor

rocfighter - 8-1-2011 at 06:59 PM

The video add even says it helps with kite flying.

shaggs2riches - 8-1-2011 at 08:35 PM

:embarrased: with nosey neighbours I think it will be best for me to close the curtains if I'm gonna do this sitting on the couch watching t.v. .... probably looks funny from behind and at a distance of 10ft.:lol:

Houston AirHead - 9-1-2011 at 12:30 PM

i just ordered the 250hz Pro. Ill get the 350hz when they finish designing the new lighter core

WELDNGOD - 11-1-2011 at 04:25 PM

Txshooter38 - 11-1-2011 at 05:09 PM

Got mine today...can barely hold onto the thing....damn....8169rpm

Txshooter38 - 11-1-2011 at 05:18 PM

make that 8767

WELDNGOD - 11-1-2011 at 05:19 PM

it's addicting

they get stronger the faster you go

Txshooter38 - 11-1-2011 at 06:00 PM

no joke. 9667. I am find that small movement sometimes works better.

WELDNGOD - 11-1-2011 at 06:49 PM

you're right . I don't do it like the guy in the video. very small circles .then try to make them smaller and smaller. But it gets harder and harder to hold onto. I have used mine for 4 yrs. I'm here to tell ya it works.

Mattgenius - 11-1-2011 at 07:01 PM

ncix.com 24$ for the techno !

Matt

WELDNGOD - 11-1-2011 at 07:03 PM

great price dude

Houston AirHead - 11-1-2011 at 07:28 PM

$189!, thats the price of a whole bunch of kite gear:no: ill stick with my pro for a while

WELDNGOD - 12-1-2011 at 06:07 AM

Todd! Quit trying to figure out how to ramp up your speed with the car tire on the expressway. They make a power starter if you're havin difficulty. I figured the way you work VEGAS PRO ,this would be a piece of cake. You have been way too quiet on this subject,me thinks you are up to somethin.......

Todd - 12-1-2011 at 06:19 AM

We finally got to messing around with this thing and WoW does this give you a workout. I'll have to shoot a short video of Corey working this thing... I had tears of laughter running down my face last night. I can see this as a great tool to strengthen my grip as well on the depower bar. Thanks for the new addiction Donnie!

WELDNGOD - 12-1-2011 at 06:28 AM

I better get Ballin! that's getting close to my 10,010. A friend of mine broke 11,000 a while back.
If anyone needs something to help improve hand strength, this is it!

No problem Todd, I figured you and corey could use somethin for downtime in the winter. I use mine every couple days for 20-30 min. It's how I'm keepin my damaged arm strength up(just workin the wrist). This will help w/ PT also.

Todd - 12-1-2011 at 03:23 PM

Getting closer... burn baby burn (the forearms)

WELDNGOD - 12-1-2011 at 03:53 PM

:o

Mattgenius - 17-1-2011 at 01:34 PM

I received mine a couple days ago, it's very addictive. But don't buy the Techno model, it's very tricky to read the score and there is only two modes : record and 30 seconds burst. And you can't take a photo of the score as it scroll on the ball, it's fun to watch but I would have preferred a neon pro or even a plain pro with no light. I'm at about 9700 now, with my right hand, my left hand still have troubles to sync.

Matt

WELDNGOD - 17-1-2011 at 01:56 PM

You got yours yet H.A.?

Powerball Discount Code

Leojim - 24-1-2011 at 03:33 PM

Got the autostart model the other day. All I can say is:

CAUTION!!! Don't use this and go right out and try to fly. If your a wimp like me you won't be able to hang on very well...you will be to beat!:smilegrin:

My only complaint is I look at the readout and it is MUCH higher than what the final "high" reading is :puzzled: I guess I'll have to read the FAQ's on the website to figure it out.

It's hard to fathom the workout this thing gives. After a couple of months of this I ought to be able to hang on like a crazy monkey.

BTW: if you want a discount -
"Please use the promotion code Qz86tNcArd when placing your next order or indeed please
let your friends and family know to use it if they too would like to try a NSD PowerŽball."

Houston AirHead - 24-1-2011 at 03:52 PM

ive been using my 250hz pro for a week now. my best is about 10,000rpm

NJLandboarder - 24-1-2011 at 06:15 PM

I have three of these they are awesome my dad started buying them when a doctor recommended them to him for his carpel tunnel or however you spell it, they actually work well the original brand is DynaFlex the but their original name is Dynabee

also do not buy ones with electrical starters they dont work for crap

when i was little my dad went through about 4 of them because i would always want to use them and i could not handle the power and i would drop them and they would break

recently i started showing them to my friends and they all went and bought them one of my friends burnt a hole in my
couch trying to stop one they are insane

they made one with bike grips and they made one with golf grips we should make one with kite handles!

this one reminds me of a depower bar

Houston AirHead - 25-1-2011 at 02:30 PM

I desperately want one of these! I bet it'd help my wrist heal! :o

bobalooie57 - 12-2-2011 at 07:46 PM

I think it couldn't hurt to try and have your Dr. or P/T write a 'scrip for one as a therapy aid. Maybe get the insurance to buy one for you.:eureka:

Seanny - 14-2-2011 at 03:16 PM

There's a barely used Powerball Signature on Fleabay for $30 with a few hours left and 0 bids. To bid or not to bid? The seller has 100% positive feedback.

kiteetik - 14-2-2011 at 08:01 PM

here's a great test for all of you powerball people to try after you've gotten good and strong--take a 19ft delta like the one sitting beside me--fly it in 10-15 mph winds and let out at least 300 ft of line from a 500 ft spool--then wind it in while battling those same 10-15mph winds--ive done it, with 500 ft of line out--GOOD LUCK!!!! you will NEED IT!!!!! oh and btw...... im not a hater--im getting one in a couple days--curiousity was killing me!

TRP - 19-2-2011 at 03:15 PM

I saw these at Big 5 Sporting goods today.

They didn't have the little digital meeter thing, but they had the ball and the docking station thing there.

T

Seanny - 19-2-2011 at 07:38 PM

I bought the sig on Fleabay(: I am now awaiting it's arrival. Can't wait! Do you like your Sig, Donnie? I think they're the best ones :P

Houston AirHead - 14-10-2011 at 12:53 PM

g00fba11 - 14-10-2011 at 06:19 PM

hiaguy - 15-10-2011 at 06:39 AM

This is hilarious! I was touting these things to my friends back as far as 1979 and still have my original dynabee. I only pick it up once every few weeks now, but my 11-yr old son loves it.
Glad to see that I wasn't crazy all those years ago. (Maybe I am now to make up for it:-)
But for sure, it's more addictive than any other toy or machine I've ever had.
