hi
I'm looking for a depower kite. Around 10m. Something for a beginner.
My budget is tight - around $400 together with shipping.
Do you have something to offer?
Thanks
mdpminc - 18-1-2011 at 08:04 AM
Hi,
See this one, it is a 12m JN Semi, but not a bad kite. You will need a bar though.

Hi
Thanks.
Any experience with North Solid 07 9m? is it stable kite? good to learn? good to kite? any problems with these kites?
slonnik - 19-1-2011 at 12:33 PM
Does anybody have any experience with North Solid kites?
ragden - 19-1-2011 at 12:42 PM
North kites are good, generally speaking, but I have never heard of a "North Solid" kite. I did a little websearch on it. I didnt know North was
making an open cell foil kite. It looks like a good buggy engine, perhaps. It says it can water relaunch, but with those open cells, I wouldnt
recommend taking it out on the water... Just my personal thoughts on it...
slonnik - 20-1-2011 at 01:13 AM
I tried to do a websearch for those kite. All I found is that there is 4th generation of this kite in this year. However, I have not found any review
from user so I'm not sure whether it is a good kite or not
slonnik - 20-1-2011 at 01:13 AM
oooh i forgot...my main intention is to use it on snow
furbowski - 20-1-2011 at 01:26 AM
I almost bought a north (opencell depower, idk the model) a year or so back... the deal killer was the open cells no good for water. I had a hard
time finding reviews, but I did get a little feedback via u2u. Good rep, good quality, folks were saying North kites and north bars (esp. the safety
North Ironheart chickenloop) were good.
I'm not much above a noob tho, so keep bumping the thread and you'll get some feedback on them from folks much more qualified to speak than I.
4 gens is good, means the kite has had some refinement and development. I think the 8m I was after was about $400 CDN, so the price might be right
for a 10m this year.
hope that helps, good luck with your search.
awindofchange - 20-1-2011 at 01:22 PM
I have an 11m Neo I demo. Price would be a little more than the $400.00 price you are looking for. Best price I can get you is $650.00, but comes
complete with lines/bar/bag - everything complete. Kite has barely been used and looks brand new.
slonnik - 21-1-2011 at 03:07 AM
to awindofchange:
Thanks but it is quite a lot for me now.
slonnik - 23-1-2011 at 12:27 PM

mdntdncr: are you trying to say something?
mdpminc - 23-1-2011 at 02:12 PM
Dude, there is a Venom2 8m with your name on it in Germany.

mdpminc - 23-1-2011 at 02:16 PM
btw; this Flysurfer Outlaw 8m is also really good and it will go 4 probably ~300eur.
http://cgi.ebay.de/FLYSURFER-OUTLAW-8m-/110638444350?pt=DE_S...
slonnik - 23-1-2011 at 11:44 PM
That Venom looks god. Hopefully it won't be to expensive.
Is flysurfer Outlaw kite for a beginner?
nocando - 24-1-2011 at 12:51 AM
Have an Evo 8 for sale if interested u2u me.
300$ ono
slonnik - 24-1-2011 at 01:05 AM
I did a bit of searching and it seems to me that Venom 8m is high wind kite. I'm 90kg so I would need something bigger.
FS Outlaw 8m seems to be a better choice now. :-) Hopefully the price will be alright :-)
@Nocando: Evo is not foil kite. But thanks anyway
slonnik - 31-1-2011 at 01:52 AM
I tried to bid on Access2 10m on eBay. I won it but the seller had too high reserve. (more then 300 Eur)
Does anybody has something interesting for me?
Please
nocando - 31-1-2011 at 01:53 AM
Maybe I should have desribed it better Eolo radsails Evo 8m depower
p8ntballsk8r - 31-1-2011 at 02:03 AM
I've got a 2005 ozone frenzy 12m. I little bigger and a little more pricey than what you posted though. I'm looking for $500
slonnik - 31-1-2011 at 05:05 AM
Hi thanks. Frenzy is not for a beginner and it is quite big for me to learn on
Bladerunner - 31-1-2011 at 06:27 PM
That Evo is an amazing deal! For a very good kite. It will fly early for learning but have a very high top end as your skills increase. If you fly the
heck out of it you can create power very early .
They are far more popular in Europe.
+1 for that choice!
It should fit the budget with shipping as well!
The Outlaw will probably still be out of your price range used. Flysurfer is expensive from the start.
erratic winds - 31-1-2011 at 06:57 PM
evo seems the best choice in your price range, honestly
slonnik - 2-2-2011 at 01:16 AM
I'm little bit affraid of these Radsails. There are not many reviews of them. (which means not many people use them) I have read about 3 positive and
2 negative reviews.
So now I'm confused
slonnik - 4-2-2011 at 12:51 AM
I'm still searching. Anybody has anything?
erratic winds - 4-2-2011 at 01:17 AM
I have had no problem with my Radsail EVO II, it's a fine kite. more of a 'trucS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K- than a 'sportscar'. Good power, good depower.
I really don't know how many different offers you need to reject before you find a kite....
slonnik - 4-2-2011 at 08:35 AM
Well, this is one kite that I rejected
erratic winds - 4-2-2011 at 09:25 AM
Yeah, its one kite you rejected before knowing anything about it.... :dunno:
slonnik - 4-2-2011 at 01:21 PM
Don't know what you mean. Should I first buy it and then reject it? As I wrote before. I tried to find reviews. There are not many of them. Found some
good ones, some bad ones. So I made decision not to buy it. I do not know where you get the idea that I know nothing about it.
erratic winds - 4-2-2011 at 01:37 PM
No, I meant you rejected the EVO for not being a foil kite....before you found out it was a foil kite, that's all.
Best of luck in your searching. As with any purchase, you can pay more to have it now, or wait to find the right deal. This forum does have some
decent deals, but perhaps shipping from the US might be expensive for you. I assume you're also looking on places like foilzone?
Bladerunner - 4-2-2011 at 05:24 PM
I respect your decision to wait. I have made a few mistakes in buying too quick.
I have only heard good things about the Evo? I know that a few folks on here have them.
Before giving up completely I suggest you start a thread asking for 1st hand empressions on here. They are more popular in GB so maybe asking the same
question on powerkites.com will get a larger responce ?
At your price point you will have limited choices. It isn't a Flysurfer budget and barely an arc one.
Here is one arc you can afford. It will need a bar and lines.

mdpminc - 4-2-2011 at 05:25 PM
Checkout eBay.de (Germany) there are two PL Scorpions 13 and 10 kite only like new.
Day and half to end of auction bids are still under 100Eur.
slonnik - 5-2-2011 at 03:39 AM
Thanks for advice guys.
I'm searching on different forums. No luck so far. But I know I will find something that will suit me. Maybe it is going to take some time.
I saw hose Scorpions, I have them in my watch list. Are these good kites for a begineer? What would be better for me: 90kg, wind mostly between
7-18knots in my area, using on land. Would 10 or 13 be better for me?
mdpminc - 5-2-2011 at 07:47 AM
See the windrange calculator for ARCs

Bladerunner - 5-2-2011 at 08:15 AM
The Scorpian is a far better arc than the Bomba.
It is a unique arc. It is generally a very friendly easy kite but at the same time it can turn on you. It is fast and punchy with it's lift. One of
the tougher arcs to launch and at the same time can be one of the most rewarding arcs to fly.
It sounds like you are looking for a kite you won't grow out of and this fits that bill. If you can find a Scorpian RTF delivered overseas I would
JUMP at it ! Or be skeptical if it isn't a reputable seller. Seems to me they are still out of your price range.
It is hard to get your head around how much larger am arc you would fly compared to foils. A 13 or 16m would serve up in the winds you describe.
Depower foil
cgregurich - 8-2-2011 at 01:10 PM
I have a Depower foil a 2010 hq apex 2 10m for sale this is a complete kite bar lines and kite. This has only been out of the bag once I injured my

Bladerunner - 8-2-2011 at 05:50 PM
If you are seriously looking for a Scorpian. There is a 10 + 13 in perfect shape, complete for sale over on arcusers for $500 OBO . The going rate !
I think WolfWolfee on here may be selling his 16m?
slonnik - 9-2-2011 at 01:37 AM
Hi
Too bad that the offer for ApexII came now. I would be tempting to buy it.
I bought North Solid 9m two days ago. Now I'm waiting for the kite to arrive. Hopefully it was good decision. I will try it and i will see :D
