what kite will you never sell?

alasdair macleod - 19-1-2011 at 01:21 PM

me it's my cult4.5m because it's my first kite!:wee::singing:

Mattgenius - 19-1-2011 at 01:25 PM

For me it's my Arc 630 for the same reason.

flyjump - 19-1-2011 at 01:27 PM

I'm never going to sell my 15m charger, it was my first kite as a sponsored rider

WELDNGOD - 19-1-2011 at 01:38 PM

ANY OF EM!

AD72 - 19-1-2011 at 01:49 PM

9M Phantom

Cheddarhead - 19-1-2011 at 02:04 PM

4 meter Beamer, was my first power kite. Sentimental reasons.

BeamerBob - 19-1-2011 at 02:05 PM

I wouldn't sell my phantoms unless the Phantom IIs surpass what I like about my originals. I probably wouldn't sell my 10m Synergy because the charger is too zippy for appropriate winds. I've toyed with selling the 15 syn to be replaced with a 19m charger. On the fence there though. I guess I'd sell any kite if I could improve the performance I get from it.

tridude - 19-1-2011 at 02:13 PM

ummmmmm nevermind.............................:smilegrin::smilegrin::duh::duh:

Houston AirHead - 19-1-2011 at 02:17 PM

kiteetik - 19-1-2011 at 02:21 PM

BigMikesKites - 19-1-2011 at 02:24 PM

I have a tiny diamond kite that my neice drew a picture on in crayons.

Not quite the same, but everything else can be sold.

Todd - 19-1-2011 at 02:36 PM

My Phantom, and my Beamer IV 5m!

The phantom because I will probably never be able to replace it.

My Beamer 5m because when in doubt I can always grab that kite and fly it till my arms are ready to fall off! That has dragged me and my buggy more than any kite I have! I love this kite up to about 18-20mph! It never fails me!

ICTKITEFLYER - 19-1-2011 at 03:32 PM

My REV 1.5SLE

B-Roc - 19-1-2011 at 03:38 PM

My 10m Eskimo (unless I upgrade it to a yeti) and my 2.5 ET because its a fun and great kite.

shaggs2riches - 19-1-2011 at 04:09 PM

I'd more or less not sell any of them. The only kite I might consider selling is my 16scorp for a 15 syn......but really that is a long shot too cause I want a 15m syn and would still keep the scorp as a backup and for in case I have someone come along that doesn't have a kite to fly (if I knew that he had other skills on smaller kites). To me if I treat them right they will treat me right for a long time so why not keep them.

geokite - 19-1-2011 at 04:42 PM

6m phantom

jellis - 19-1-2011 at 05:29 PM

1996 custom HI 100 bought from Jason Furness after I got him drunk one afternoon. Those guys never could hold their booze. LOL

macboy - 19-1-2011 at 05:44 PM

Don't think I'll ever lose my Phantoms. And the Access which is the first brand new kite I've ever bought. Ironically the 18m Phanny was brand new too. The 15 has a long shaded history involving prison but I can't share it on the open forum

ripsessionkites - 19-1-2011 at 05:46 PM

Signed Joel Scholz Neptune and Jaws that I use to fly one in each hand.

+1 more for keeping them all...

But I did sell a 2.4 radsail (off the forum!) cause it was cr#p.

And then there's the 3m legend with the stretched bridle up for grabs to anyone who wants to have a go at fixing it.

I'd give it up as a burnt offering to the wind gods and goddesses (the wind's so #@%$#!y there must be a goddess in the mix...), but doubt they would impressed by such a meager offering!

@HoustonAirHead, the legend is yours for the shipping if you want it....

pokitetrash - 19-1-2011 at 06:13 PM

Phantoms baby! You see a trend here? Keep those Phannies Ya'll. After the 2012 end of the world thing, I'll have the roads to myself! Go Green!

shehatesmyhobbies - 19-1-2011 at 07:02 PM

Chris you crack me up, and you will have to share the roads with me buddy! :moon:

erratic winds - 19-1-2011 at 07:19 PM

I'd love to think that I'd never sell any of the kites I love.....but honestly they all have their price to get the next one.

(Of course, nobody wants a 2003 12m fuel with a popped bladder so I guess I'll never sell my first kite:bigok: )

Not a 100% true....

Jokiter is always looking for tube kite fabric (well, I think he has a little bit to go before he runs short, but it's just a matter of time).

Thanks everyone! Special thanks to Dave and Scott who helped out with their old kites. I'll put up a new post once I'm running out of fabric again.

Some pics of kites made with the skins can be found at the bottom of this thread:

Everything old is new again.

Bladerunner - 19-1-2011 at 08:24 PM

Lets see, the signed Peel stays. I don't see myself getting rid of my 15m Syn accept to get another the same?

The rest can go for the right price.

acartier1981 - 19-1-2011 at 08:45 PM

Right now I am tempted to sell all of them to get this one http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=16485 :wee:

lunchbox - 19-1-2011 at 09:52 PM

Blade IV 6.5, Venom 2 13m and Speed 2 19m.

Blade - the raw power, the stability, the lift...I could go on and on about this kite.

V2 13 - Awesome range and so stable.

Speed 2 - Because I can kitesurf in 8mph!!!

acampbell - 20-1-2011 at 07:01 AM

My Elliot Sigma Fun 1.7m. Some years back I wandered into a kite shop while on shore visit to Warnemunde, Germany during a Baltic Cruise. We had an afternoon to kill and my wife bought me the kite.

When the venue changed from New YorS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s Central Park to Jekyll Island, I knew that I would need something bigger and that one of those buggy things I had heard about would fit well there.

One day the right kid will get the kite.

PHREERIDER - 20-1-2011 at 07:04 AM

the ones that work!
