I love the smell of ripstop in the morning

Well, for the first time in literally months the forecast called for wind without rain. Calling for 9-14 with gusts to 20. Trees swaying back and forth at the house so I go load up the 2 15m arcs, gear, and buggy. Synergy is a little slow filling up but I'm below a ledge in a farm field so figure the wind is better up above me. Finally get her 90% filled and then I notice the steam from a nearby biomass energy plant getting higher and higher. Waited 45 minutes for it to "kick in" and then gave up, Didn't fold the kite up tight and bag it just a loose roll up and toss it into the car. Got in the car later and OHH....... the sweet smell of ripstop. It was almost good enough to make it worth all the effort and getting skunked. Me and the forecast must come together soon or somebody is gonna get hurt.

Felt that same way until last week when we finally got some wind. Winter's been really weak from a wind perspective in socal but surf is up! Do you surf? Nice compliment to kiting, but if not, don't worry....spring is almost hear and SF should be getting good soon!

Well, I'd rather smell ripstop than the gooseshi_ that I'm covered in when doing kiteATB this time of year!

Hope you get some wind soon!

Need to get you a bottle of Sora or Chikara cologne.... drives the women and wee furry ones maaaaaaad.

 On the other hand, my cat seems none to pleased with my hair product selection. Chews on my girlfriend's hair all the time.... did it to me once and I got a "this will not do..." scowl before he stomped off.

Nice silver lining stoke for a skunked day.
