Kieron check your email from your web site.Kieron - 24-1-2011 at 09:29 AM
Thanks for getting in touch Patrick; you're email was very interesting. I already had some ideas for making the fixing to the skis smaller and more
flexible; specifically to allow front to back movement as well as lateral.
Unfortunately however I'm laid up in bed unwell today, so I'll get back to you properly when I'm feeling a little better. Be in touch soon.

1. I feel bad for the Manta but can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done.
2. I saw the Para-kite-ski-buggy video, very cool project, very cool prototype - good on yah!
3. My other hobby is photography, and I can't tell you how much I love panning time lapse, just awesome. DIY rig or purchase something?Kieron - 24-1-2011 at 02:42 PM
I use a home made motorised dolly. Essentially it's a 2 metre (about 6' 6") long piece of alloy box section, with a small angle section running down
each side and a rubber track on the underside. Onto this goes a frame with bearings top & bottom so it clamps around the angle section, and a
motor with a large rubber wheel held under tension against the rubber track on the underside of the alloy. The motor has a low range gearbox attached
which means it'll travel at as little as 0.5 rpm - which equates to about half an inch of travel on the track per minute. It'll like an 8 lb camera
vertically up the track.ripsessionkites - 25-1-2011 at 10:12 PM

I know what you mean. My last foil had panels made of up to 4 parts of fabric in different colors, giving me lots of trouble to keep them accurate.
Then this guy comes along with these panels that have like 40 parts each :puzzled:
