I took this kite as a trade in on another kite. I wanted it because since I sold my 13m Scorp I've always kinda missed it. I loved that kite.
My plan was to fly this one for a while and sell it but I have too many kites and too little time. So I've decided to just turn it over and free up
some funds to pay for some things that I need.
This kite is essentially brand new. The guy that had it before me never flew it. One static in a summertime test flight.
I has pigtail extensions for the rear. Any questions or if you'd like a pic send me your email in a PM. Thanks!mdpminc - 24-1-2011 at 12:37 PM
How would you compare 13m Scorp to F1200; flight, inflation, wind range, gust handling, depower, etc, etc.
ThanksFeyd - 24-1-2011 at 03:07 PM
I haven't spent enough time on the 1200 to give an expirienced opinion. I have been spending time on the 1600 and I used to ride the Scorp 16m.
I would say that the Scorp is considerably easier to manage than the 1600 and there are hints of similar traits but the F-Arc is just a raw power
machine whereas the Scorp, tho it has less power for it's size compared to the F-Arc has a considerable wind range and is faster turning. Tons of
depow tho not as much as the Charger. But easily enough to handle about anything.
And tho the Scorp is prone to bowtie compared to it's siblings it is no way the bowtie master that the F-Arc is.
A lot of what allows me to fly the F-Arc I learned from the Scorpion. But a lot of the Scorp tricks or arc handling technique in general doesn't seem
to apply. The F-Arc is so damn long that on the ground you can pull both wingtips a couple feet and the bulk of the wing won't even twitch.
God help anyone that let's that thing go down in water.
Both can be launched with suprisingly low air but the F-Arc (5 BIG vents) inflates damn quick. The Scorp (in personal testing) will inflate fairly
fast and will do so with only one vent. Tho it has more than one.
The F-arc in the air is a lot of fun but on the ground a total B-otch. I love flying it but I would not travel too far away from my anchor on it.
The F-Arc is nearly 10yrs older and it shows. It's a great kite but the Scorp is a better all rounder.
Hope that helps.Feyd - 1-2-2011 at 07:52 PM
By the way, trade ins also accepted on this kite.Kamikuza - 1-2-2011 at 08:41 PM
Excuse me, it's the man not the kite - _I_ am the bowtie master! :bouncy:Feyd - 1-2-2011 at 08:44 PM

Best I can do is compare my Farc 1200 to 16m Scorpian.
They don't compare ! The Scorpian is so much better. a decade ahead. Adjustable . VP bridled ....
I was not experienced with arcs at all when I 1st owned my 1200 but it was a right pain to deal with. Tossed me all over the place whenever I did try
to fly it !
Can't wait to try it again !Feyd - 3-2-2011 at 11:58 AM
Oh and in response to mdpminc's question about depow I almost forgot....
The Scorp has a lot of depow as you probably know from riding your 16m. The F-Arc has a lot of depow when it's dead on the ground but not so much in
the air.Feyd - 16-2-2011 at 06:30 PM

Gotta try me a PL.g00fba11 - 14-3-2011 at 06:57 PM
Are you a guitar player? I gotta nice USA made acoustic I'd trade...
It's an Ovation Balladeer 1771 LX in a hardshell case. I thought it would be neat to learn guitar.... had to stick to flying kites.... Now that's a
great deal!!!!
Is this kite only? Does it come with bar? Lines ? Bag?
Feyd - 15-3-2011 at 07:12 AM
I don't play guitar, sorry.
It's K/O although I may be able to ge a bar together to sell with it. Does include pack.
Chudalicious has dibs at the moment.

dang i loved my 16m scorp.... just for those who've never used a scorpion but have used other arcs. This one needs more attention on the launch! It
needs to be prefilled as much as possible and launch with backline tension. If you want some airtime this 13 will be sweet. After I sold my 16 scorp
I dreamed about it at least once a week for 2 months no liechudalicious - 15-3-2011 at 10:10 AM

I just thought it looked like a great opportunity to try a PL but I don't wanna die!
Chris - let me know if you end up finding lines and a bar
(sitting at my desk and thinking about kiting is killing me!)flyjump - 15-3-2011 at 10:19 AM
You're not gonna die, just because a lot of guys are scared of flying doesn't mean you hafta be too. You are chuddy! Not some wuss who puts his kite
away because the wind gets above 15mph. You are the reason "girls kick ass" was ever made into a bumper stickerFeyd - 15-3-2011 at 04:43 PM
LOL, If you die it is very unlikely to be because of the Scorp.
Molly rocked the 16m a few times when we had it like it was her job. The 13m is a wicked fun size, small enough to really throw around but big enough
to boost without falling like a rock.
As I've said before, I would keep it (I really liked the Scorps) but I'll never use it. I have too many kites that I need to fly already. Molly is
all about the Chargers so she'll never fly it.
This kite is pretty much brand new. Someone need to be flying it! Let me figure out a bar for ya and I'll let you know.chudalicious - 17-3-2011 at 03:30 PM
Courtesy bump as I no longer have dibs and kite is still availableg00fba11 - 17-3-2011 at 03:57 PM
