Great shots of some big time air for one of those buggies! Shame it got twisted in the process.

Why thanks for the respect Ricardo, as you know we have been jumping Libre Hardcore bigfoot suspension front fork buggies for quite a few years without the carnage. Bison is a heavy hitter and if he can't break it then I doubt if very few other could.
Can't wait to see freestyle on concrete (Ivanpah), hospital is not that far away and there is a welder on site now. :frog::duh::wee::evil::P:saint:

2.6 Buggy Weight [4]
The maximum weight of the parakart is 60 kg (132 lbs) in any combination which may include a maximum
of 5 kg (11lbs) of weight.

The Libre Hardcore Bigfoot suspension fork buggy weights in around 85 lbs. Has better strength with large frame tubes, axle and forks, and by using a high grade steel that is zinc plated then powder coated. Also the Hardcore frame has been widened at the axle area to make a very stiff platform along with a cross member. The other trick is we order the Hardcore XS in size then lower the seat between the rails for the best fitting seat to date.
Stainless is flexible and could allow the fork and frame to twist on the custom built buggies or they increase the wall thickness to compensate, therefore you get a 100lb or more buggy.
From what I see in Europe there is a lot of sponsorship for paid guns to fly and ride equipment that has been custom fit to them. This is a good thing for racing for sure but when you go to sell your custom fit buggy look for a guy your size.
With the Libre I can size each buggier to the correct fit with seat, pegs, rail width and balance adjustments with stock Libre parts and they can still sell the buggy to other size buggiers. I did have one person needing parts as a car rear ended into their buggy rack and buggy and with parts in stock they were back on the beach that summer.
My response to what is used in Europe is; come to our beaches with dunes, pot holes, half submerged logs, crab holes, sand castles, and see which is a better buggy for our beaches. As far as racing goes it takes big balls and so far only a few in the states have them.

The Ivanpah weighs in at 98lbs fully loaded for the Stainless Steel version, 83lbs for the steel version. Difference in weight is the chrome molly used in the steel version which is lighter. All steel thickness's and dimensions are the same in both versions.

The only Ivanpah that has ever sustained any type of damage (to date) is one that had a manufacturing defect (unauthorized modification) by an employee that is no longer building the buggies. I doubt even Arie could break one of the Ivanpah's short of running it over with a cement truck. If he ever did happen to damage one, no problem....all Ivanpah's come with a 5 year warranty - even xxtreme doesn't guarantee their buggies this well.

The Hardcore frame came to be around 2000 then the Dragster uses it, and the design is tried and tested by now. The Hardcore comes with a Full Race style seat that has better adjustments to build that pocket so it fits like a glove. Rail setup uses the XS size to allow you a very deep seat with a bump out at the leg area and wiggle room by your side under your arm pits. The Hardcore uses the peg setup from the Full Race so 360 degrees of adjustment is possible. The suspension fork setup came to life when attached to a stem KBSS produces. Buggiers that know what they are doing recognize the Hardcores attributes and you sure don't see many used KBSS Hardcore Bigfoot suspension buggies for sale.

In Europe you don't find suspension front fork in racing very often . The complete suspension buggy ( front and rear ) Ar almost extinguished . Most race buggys Ar Ridged buggys .
Control in your buggy you can get by balancing the buggy , experiment whit the tire press. and using the right kite for the moment .
I must say it looks nice but if you need control go for ridged

I can see where a suspension front fork (SFF) would be of less use, possibly hampering, based on the types of beaches that are generally used for racing in Europe.

I was skeptical at first, just ask Jon. Once Jon was able to get the SFF properly setup, the difference was quite convincing. Riding hard in variable terrain requires a SFF to push the limit, and maintain control! Would I lose the SFF for static if racing in Europe, of course. Differing conditions require different equipment for best control.

The most popular beach that we use here in the Northwest US (Sunset) is quite different than the beaches in Europe. It is narrower and steeper. Since vehicles are allowed at any time on the beach many times during high tide the softer sand will develop rather deep ruts from 4 wheel drives and others. These can be murder on a North or Northwest wind, since buggy travel is generally perpendicular to the ruts. Not to mention dune riding.

SFFs make these situations easier to handle and give quite a bit of control verses the static front fork. In addition I can add pressure to all tires which increases upwind performance considerably when using big foot tires. Of course this requires a proper balance of tire pressure and suspension tension.

Agreed. The one piece of the equation you left out is beach conditions/terrain, etc... If you ever do come to Sunset, try out a SFF on that beach, you will be convinced that for our situation and conditions it does perform much better. I was VERY resistant to the new forks in the beginning, not now.

I couple of years ago I would have agreed with you whole heartedly. The key is in the setup. When improperly setup they are useless, when correct, control and other factors make it a "must have."
