You mean the flats or the flats? I've been all over the lake and found no real variation in the terrain.(I have to guess that we are talking about different definitions of the word)

I'll be there, for certain. Can't wait, like always! Going to be another great event!

I guess you've never been up on Vail Pass, Loveland Pass, Hoosier Pass and many other spots nearby but the flats of Dillon are the best you will find anywhere thanks to Anton and all the locals that hold this spot dear

Dillon Snowkite Open is only on Lake Dillon(and even then only a very small part of it), ...I just don't want to get people's hopes up for terrain that won't be included! Is that why I saw ya only one day last year? You were off hitting all the spots that weren't flat?

And yes, an infinite amount of respect for Anton for keeping it going. It's a tough fight, apparently the sport is now popular enough that newbs are buying kites and going to dillon with no lesson, causing havok.

All I know is t-minus 16 days, and the snow up there is looking just awesome. :bouncing:

Some information on location would be appreciated. :)

ragden,
It's the first stop on the 2011 North American Snowkite Tour and it takes place at the marina on Lake Dillon at Dillon Colorado

In the results from the first event there are several racers with the last name of Cronin.
Are they related to Feyd?

Nic your shoulder better be flyable, no sitting on the sidelines for this year I hope!

The Cronin's that were listed are mother, dad, and 12 year old daughter Frances. Folks.... watch out for her, she is rocking it!

And yes, I hope my shoulder is better, right now there is no word on surgery and I am doing alright on it. Heading up this weekend to get a real feel.

(the vegas playa thing wasn't a good test as I was doped out of my mind on pain meds before the event)

See you guys up there!
