Metal grinder

Would this air compressor grinder be enough to grind through a metal chain link on a dog collar to take off the metal rings? With a stone wheel attachment thing.

you would need an arbor and a cutoff wheel, but it would. please tell me there won't be a dog in said collar

Uhhh, I think I have a cutoff wheel around here somewhere... and I'm having a little difficulty detaching the collar from aforementioned mammal. I'll be extra careful:)

Don't think I have a chisel, actually... But I could borrow one :)

Easier to go to Lowes.... last time I was there, they had weldless stainless rings 1-1.5 inch diameter. Pretty cheap. Wasn't in an aisle one would expect it in.....often the case with Lowes.

Do NOT use the grinder!!!!! It will cut no problem and you might get lucky and not cut the dog unless he jumps around - which he WILL do cuz those tools are very loud!!! The problem and danger is that the cut off wheel will throw SHOWERS OF SPARKS that will set your dog on fire!!!! If not fire, they are extremely HOT and will burn the dog, which will make him jump/bite which will make you end up cutting him open!!!

Just get yourself a pair of bolt cutters, it will do the job in a couple seconds and will not kill your dog.

BOLT CUTTERS BOLT CUTTERS BOLT CUTTERS!!!!!!!!!!! If you take the dog with you to Lowes or any hardware store, they will probably let you use them once in the store without buying them considering the situation. NEVER EVER EVER use a grinder to cut something away from a living being, dog, cat, iguana, human, crocodile, whatever. That is why they use the jaws of life in car wrecks, cuts without making a bigger mess or causing more damage to the people in the wreck. BOLT CUTTERS!!! Sorry cant stress it enough.

KENT I didn't catch the part about the dog.

Wear gloves too the grinder air exhaust will cold down your hand. A face sheild is better than glasses... but glasses are minimum safety.

speaking of grinding animals on leashes... i guess he knew what was coming....

Seany is this a chain collar or a leather or nylon collar. If its not chain just cut the collar and replace it. Other wise BOLT CUTTERS!
