kitebiking : My second beginning

drallam - 26-1-2011 at 02:12 AM

Hi

After exploding my kitebike 5 years ago, I didn't ride with two wheels...
But, i have rebuilt it during christmas hollydays :wink2:
So last weekend I did ride my new kitebike:wee:

The wind was very gusty here, but it was fun to battle against the wind.

Saturday I was at "Saint Jean de Monts" (Vendée, France), and achieved a max speed of 50.0km/h with my Concept'air Leader 5m²

Sunday I was at Saint Brévin (loire-atlantique, France), and achieved a max speed of 61.4km/h with my Concept'air Leader 4m²:singing:

And here is a little timelapse vidéo I made sunday (I did let the gopro on the ground :wink2: ) :

Now I'm waiting a good smoth wind to break records with my 3m² :tumble:

Bye and good winds

Cool! Now I want one of them too

That actually looked fun. I figured these would be as hard to get started on as a dirtsurfer, but its no big deal apparently. The leaning would add another dimension to the ride.

WELDNGOD - 27-1-2011 at 12:15 PM

it's harder than ya think BB! You will figure it out, but at first it's weird. Once you are moving a little, piece o cake.

BeamerBob - 27-1-2011 at 01:12 PM

I know it would be harder than 3 wheels, but I want to try when I get a chance.

I don't really know.... Probably around 20kg...
And it's all stainless steal.

very awesome talent! It seems the higher the speed the more stable she gets. Seems allot easier to get away from than a 3 wheel bug, in sticky situations. ex: sudden gust ect..:wee:
