Buggy Seat for NABX Hero Buggy

popeyethewelder - 26-1-2011 at 12:15 PM

I am so excited, and I know some of you guys have already seen it, but I have just to show you these seats....Let me explain first.

I have built a buggy to run on barrows to take to NABX, I will be leaving this buggy in the US, I will not be taking it home...there is already one interested person, but it depend on if he likes it and fits in it. if not anyone else is more than welcome to buy the first PTW buggy in the USA

The buggy is called the Hero Buggy, I named it after the fallen heros of 9/11 and the gulf, I was sending the Dominator 1 to a NY firefighter, who kindly sent me a few commemorative patches and a cross cut out of one of the columns of the Twin Tower....all these items are my prized possessions.... sadly through a lot of red tape we could not get the buggy there at a realistic cost.

I ask my good friend Jon at Buggybags.co.uk if he could make me a special seat for this buggy as it is going to live in the US...I gave him the color scheme I wanted and I also asked him if he would sew the patch I was given into the seat....well his wife Helen, who incidentally is the one who actually does all the work went to work on not one but two seats, one for the Hero Buggy with the big patch and the other for a very similar buggy.....they took 23hours to make

Well, when last night I was shown some photos of the seats, my jaw dropped....I believe these are the best made and looking buggy seats I have ever seen...so I thought I would share them with you guys

That's awesome Popeye. The seat is a great way to commemorate those that died to help others. This buggy is perfect for your much awaited NABX attendance.

I lived and worked in New York City during 9/11 so I find this particularly touching. Can't wait to see it and meet you in person.

Wow .. that's a work of art. Not sure if I can sit on it though. it would be something I would hang on a wall and admire.

Whaaaaaaat?!?!? You and I were both in NYC back then? That's just freaky.

In 2001, I worked at 140 West Street.
