Go to EBAY, Toys & Hobbies and search for Peter Lynn ..
I have an extra long PL Comp XR+ axle (47inches) and extra long side rails kit listed ... both for $199 plus shipping
Also I have a rare Peter Lynn heavy duty extra wide (55.5") axle for the old PL Race buggy - for $99 plus shipping

Is the heavy duty axle the one with shocks...? Will it fit an xr ?

no it's not the one with shocks ... no won't fit an XR .. XR has bigger dia tubes on the siderails
