This requires further explanation...
Sad days dude...
:puzzled: :(

markite - 8-2-2011 at 12:45 PM

100% for sure - all aspects - no way you could still do it at some level - less aggressive?

sorry to hear the news

Mark

shehatesmyhobbies - 8-2-2011 at 12:53 PM

Wow Wolfee! Hate to hear this news! If you have decided to leave the kiting up to us, please do not leave the forum! You are a power PKF'r it would be a shame not to have you here.

Wish you the best!

XdisasterXdrewX - 8-2-2011 at 01:37 PM

Man, thats really sad to hear.
I don't know how many people kite in your area but you should definitely try to pass the bug on to someone else.
I know that if it were me I would try to teach some kids. Even though you couldnt actually use the kite you could still give them pointers.
Just a thought

kiteetik - 8-2-2011 at 05:05 PM

sorry to hear that, maybe you could fly something small? even a prism snapshot or something along those lines....... i still fly all kinds of different kites besides power kites....... you could try revs (easy on the arms)...... a prism micron is a blast....... then, of course, you can always teach others the joy of kiting--that would be rewarding--i would'nt completely give it up though........

Bladerunner - 8-2-2011 at 05:19 PM

Wow Wolfee . That is truly a shame.
Beyond kiting how will less important things like work end up for you ?
OZZY is one of the best kiters I have ever met and he is riding buggy with one prosthsetic leg.

Are you absolutely positively sure you are out for good ? So many folks had so much to learn from you !

furbowski - 8-2-2011 at 06:37 PM

If you like playing with the wind maybe you could go rev?

Sorry to hear about the bad prognosis....

clintopher - 8-2-2011 at 06:49 PM

Sorry to hear, dude :(

WolfWolfee - 9-2-2011 at 12:51 AM

I have the flexi buggy with a brand new PL Carbon axle still in box and a bum bumper (well used)..lol
A XL 661 pressure suit well worth the investment too.

WELDNGOD - 9-2-2011 at 06:30 AM

Wow... sounds like some kind of nightmare, or bad movie, come true. Sorry to hear about it. Best of luck with your sale, and I hope you recover soon. Take care bud.

shehatesmyhobbies - 10-2-2011 at 11:43 AM

Wow, I thought when you told us about the flesh eating disease, that would be the worst possible scenario, was I ever wrong. My best wishes to you for a fast prognosis, a healthy return!

revpaul - 10-2-2011 at 01:21 PM

ahhh bummer!!!!
hoping you make a good thorough recovery.
there'll always gear around to use even if you do sell all your stuff.
take care.
Paul

flexiblade - 10-2-2011 at 03:17 PM

Sounds like the loss of kiting is the last thing you need to be condoned about. My goodness, when I read the readers digest version of what your going through it seems that your focus is on much more profound issues. Keep pounding the wall - you will break through. My thoughts and hopes go out for you meng.

WolfWolfee - 10-2-2011 at 05:35 PM

Well kiteboyza speed ain't really my game but have hit some insane speeds in a Flexi bug but air time is my game alas the three axle etc and the new PL carbon still in box...lol

sand flea - 10-2-2011 at 06:30 PM

Wolfwolfee -

Man, horrible chain of events. Hope the news re heart damage comes out OK. Does this mean you have beat the infection, but they are now looking at permanent damage? Keep us posted if you don't mind. And no kidding big air was your game - I still remember that post where you told us about hitting an updraft/rotor coming around a point during a winter night flight. Freaking scary, but sounds like your piloting skills saved your a$$...

Best wishes,

krumly
