the peter lynn pepper or the hq beamer 2

tomivey - 12-11-2005 at 12:08 PM

HI

i am thinking about buying a new kite around the 4.5-5.5m range for lighter wind and jumps.

Would you the beamer II 5.0m or the peter lynn pepper 5.5m be a better kite for this.
They are both the same price.

Thanks

While you're awaiting replies, try performing a forum search for pepper & beamer. This is a good way to profit from questions that may have already been asked and help you define more specific questions. Good luck.

Hey tomivey,

My name is Tim with HQ Powerkites USA. The BeamerII is a great beginner traction kite that comes complete with handles, line, groundstake and a pair of kite killers. All this in a nice backpack with big zipper. I have not flown the pepper but the beamer5.0 is very well able to provide some jumps.
Let me know if you need more infos. Call me if you like at 888 318 3600

Take care
Tim

Hey Tom, cant comment on the Pepper, as my distributor hasnt sent me one for testing yet. I can say that the Beamer II is a crackin little kite. Very fun to fly, but Im not sure about the jumping. Again, if you have read any of my posts... you can jump with any kite. You are safer to jump with something designed to generate lift. If your looking at the budget kites, look more toward the crossfire. Just a small bit of money more, and a much better lifting kite than the Beamer. Again, I cant comment on the pepper, but the other 2 are great.

Tom,
I have the 5m Beamer ll and it is a very neat kite. Its not real lifty, but in a fresh breeze you can get some good air with it. Its quite nice looking, too. For the money its a great deal.
