Someone has to give up kiting to use it though - who will make that sacrifice for us?!?

You know, at first, i was watching the kites, and asking my self what the heck is he talking about, then I realized it was how the video was being taken. (With help from the shadow). I should have watched this when I was more awake!:lol:

I saw the shadow as well but didn't hit me till I moved onto another task!! That is realy wicked cool.
My first response was about the quad :tumble:

Since it is a "call for pricing" product and it has some of the nicer features like "GPS lock", remote live preview, etc. I am going to assume that is has similar or even higher pricing that the Dragnfly series which easily runs somewhere around $15K-$30K for the nice ones.

wow you guys have it all wrong pricing that is

lol funny thing you post this, I am actually a heli freak http://helifreak.com/index.php ( one of the biggest heli forms out their)

I got into kiting as one day when I was flying I saw a dude kiting and was like wow that looks like fun. so that is why I am here :P

all you need is a small quad copter ( 300$) nice camera ( 150-1000$ ) radio ( 200$) live video feed ( 150$) and your good to go, so less than some kites :spin:

but really its quite fun, and the electrics are not loud at all unless you're really beating them, http://www.youtube.com/user/f22warzone#p/a/u/2/liaQfbnxzfM That is my set up
and this is me playing around http://www.youtube.com/user/f22warzone#p/u/3/uxNDF46iJag

@f22- Checked out your video- you are a good heli pilot- I fly a little MSR because it can survive my endless beatings into the wall, door frame, or any other itme that seems to jump out in fromt of it. Really want to get a DX6i so i can plug into phoenix and "crash" a bigger one for a few less bucks

Thanks, and if you do upgrade your radio, get the dx7 you will love it and if you ever get a bigger bird it will be so much easier to program for it.
I need to fix my 700e so I can go take some video of it, ( last crash was kind of nasty, battery strap broke and un plugged the batteries about 60' up. )

How is the MSR I have always wanted an in door heli. Also Phoenix is amazing especially their 3.0 software, highly recommend if you fly any heli.

flyguy0101 - 20-2-2011 at 10:13 AM

I love the little msr, i tried to learn a heli a couple of years okay with a blade cp- a complete nightmare called it my $25 30 second toy because if i got it in the air for 30 seconds it would cost me $25 on landing/crashing- parts..... The msr is a great little heli for flying in the house. i fly it most evenings for 15-20 minutes am finally getting used to nose facing orientation. It is amazingly durable i have broken several landing gears ($4 each) but still have original blades. recently cooked tail rotor motor that was $15. as you know relatevily cheap for helis. Reason for the dx6i was i am cheap and figure that it will most likely be used on the sim only- mostly by my boys

Someone buys and I will fly it and do all the video work too!!!
