Bladerunner - 24-2-2011 at 08:28 PM

You are in a good location.

You are already a better buggy pilot that Daskirtz !

Dagon on the other hand !

Good thing he doesn't know it so will try and teach you a thing or 2 . Humour him and pretend He's teaching you ! ;-) ;-)

ripsessionkites - 24-2-2011 at 09:48 PM

Lol, so true

ApexxMonty - 24-2-2011 at 10:01 PM

Well one thing is for sure - when Dino is in the seat, you must be taking notice. Perhaps it's hard to deal with a man of integrity, skill and a sense of humor. Why don't you put your energy into taking a few lessons in decorum from him rather than bashing the h... out of him. Even you might learn something...

macboy - 24-2-2011 at 11:08 PM

Welcome Ronin! FYI - It's all tongue in cheek between Canada and Dakitez - really, we all do play nice together here. We're like family.......Dino's just the poor "why's everybody always picking on me" member of the family. But he takes it like a champ. A bent over champ but a champ just the same ; )

Too far?:saint:

ripsessionkites - 24-2-2011 at 11:12 PM

we play all in good fun. i guess some just miss out on it. dino and i have this thing going on for years. you should see our skype conversations, its worth all the laughs. :D

DAKITEZ - 25-2-2011 at 12:20 AM

It's me vs. Canada it seems. They are all getting there little jabs in. It's ok I will get even in the desert. Ever see what happens to a Canadian in the desert who "misplaced" their sunscreen?

Bladerunner - 25-2-2011 at 07:52 AM

GEE DINO ... I thought we had it in for each other personally once I lost Sthrash as an enemy! :smug:

DAKITEZ - 25-2-2011 at 09:34 AM

:no: I do miss sthrasher :no: I guess "life" caught up with him and he doesn't get to play with us any more.

Bladerunner - 25-2-2011 at 05:30 PM

One of those folks in life that I hardly knew but will never forget. I didn't see him as a quiter ? I hope all is O.K. for him and Fam' ?

You are right about when Dino is in the seat everybody DOES takes notice! That means the wind is not too strong, not too light, not to gusty, just right. Time to get out there and out of his way ! :P

flexiblade - 26-2-2011 at 03:21 PM

Hey Ronin - good to see another local added to the mix. Here's a quick list of questions to help us get better acquainted -

Where do you hail from?
How long have you been flying kites?
What kind of kites do you fly?
What is your favorite color?

That should do it for now. We locals can give you a good heads up on places to go and conditions - so stick around and throw us some questions as well.

BeamerBob - 26-2-2011 at 04:03 PM

Hey Ronin, I'm in Tracy, CA. There is a great bunch of guys around here. I've ridden with Dakitez, Screwyfits, Flexiblade, AD72, and Dagon. I might've missed a few and there are others around that I haven't ridden with. All will help you any way they can and everyone want to make sure everyone has fun. Hook up when you can.

Bladerunner - 27-2-2011 at 08:42 AM

Uh Oh ! :o

Don't be scared off by all the teasing Ronin. We have a little Van vs. NorCal thing going on. We won't start teasing you until we like you ! :saint:

Truth is you have some very skilled riders to help you along. :)

Craig Sparkes - 27-2-2011 at 10:43 AM

Wow, now that's what I call long distance sniping! LOL

Ronin, As BeamerBob mentioned, there a number of good pilots in the area. He is out in Tracy; I'm down in Santa Clara; others are all over the place. Most of us will be at NABX; some of us will be at the pre-event. Just let us know what your plans are and we'll make sure to include you in too.

Regards,
Darrin "one of the few guys with a real name in this funny farm"
