Just had a car crack-up...so, things must be liquidated.
I guess I'll keep the 15m Syn and let this one go for now.
Kite only - no sticks. Flies great, no pix for now.
I only have long rods for it - so if you want them, I can throw in a old '04 bar and lines too and ask for another $40 to cover the extra packing
length.stetson05 - 6-3-2011 at 01:51 PM
I am sure it will sell soon.action jackson - 6-3-2011 at 02:28 PM
Great kite! Great seller! Had mine out yesterday in the surf!.........ajfrankiter - 6-3-2011 at 02:50 PM

Thanks AJ! My fondest buggy memory is still the park n ride one January afternoon at Treasure Island with AJ!
Yep...my popped, then mended, 15m Synergy won't sell for anywhere near what I paid for it now...sooooo, the Phanny has to go.
And believe me, I had to do a LOT of digging, and trans-oceanic dickering, to obtain it in the first place.
I LOVE that kite, but I'll make do with the syn and the phanny's little 12m brother for now.
I wanted to keep the family together...but that dream ended this afternoon in shards of bumpers, paint chips and headlights on the road
crossing....:dunno:shehatesmyhobbies - 7-3-2011 at 05:29 PM
Oh this hurts!pbc - 7-3-2011 at 06:28 PM
Does it hurt less knowing that I just sent the cash to Lad? ;-)action jackson - 7-3-2011 at 06:32 PM

You made a wise choice waiting!............ajshehatesmyhobbies - 7-3-2011 at 06:33 PM
Whew, that makes me feel better, already bought one kite today! Nice grab, Lad is a stand up guy!pbc - 7-3-2011 at 07:09 PM
I've been holding out for a 13m Scorpion I could afford. I wanted something to fill the gap between my 10m and 16m Scorps, but it's hard to pass over
a Phantom that helps fill that same gap.
My next purchase? A 9M Phantom of course. :-)

Philip
It's a looooooooooong line for the 9.....
I dont they exist. I think it's like BigFoot or Alien anal probes--No wait that one is real...flyjump - 7-3-2011 at 07:20 PM
hey pbc, i think youll like the 15 phanny better than a 13 scorpion. the scorpion turns really fast but is twitchy compared the stability of the
phantom. i'm not talking trash on scorpions because my friends know that i dream about my 16 scorp at least once a week hahapbc - 7-3-2011 at 08:47 PM
Yes, I've read the Phantoms are the most stable and that does have some appeal. There are times with the Scorps where I feel like they're a little
twitchy. Usually it's on the long tacks flying at full speed amidst a pack of kites on a narrow beach. Your arms a get a bit tired, you shift your
hand, and the next thing you know your kite is about to hit another bird in the formation.
But hey, I had fun with my 16M just this Saturday. Even on our sandspur-covered inland field with its squirrely wind the Scorp is a good time.
Nathaniel was out with me a few weeks back and had a heck of a time with his Fly Surfer. The gusts were kicking his arse. I handed handed him my 10m
Scorp to play with while I did some maintenance on his bar and he was much impressed with how the Scorp responded. There's a lot to love there.

Philip (who is jonesin' to play with his new toy)BeamerBob - 8-3-2011 at 08:06 PM
Phillip, its funny that I was inflating my 15 Phanny the time I first met you at Jibe 09.pbc - 8-3-2011 at 08:24 PM
I thought that kite was way too large for someone my size to fly. It just seemed like a Monster. It's no big deal now. :-)
Before I arrived at JIBE '09 I had only ever flown one Arc--I was Dean's yellow Phantom maybe 18 months previous. It was dreamy. I wanted one. Then
at JIBE my go-to beach kite stretched and died. I was left with a 3m FB that was too small.
While I couldn't make it 1/2 a mile down the beach on my puny kite, Andrew was describing his trip to the south end with his Synergy. That was the
deal closer for me. I had to buy an Arc. 22 months later Arc #3 is about to ship.
PhilipBeamerBob - 8-3-2011 at 08:37 PM
Since you are comfy with 15 and 16m arcs now, maybe you'd really like to save the day and have a 19m venom in the trunk. :roll:pbc - 8-3-2011 at 08:49 PM
No, not me. I saw your Venom posting. I'm sticking for high aspect ratio Arcs for now. Besides I'm out of dough after the Phantom.
If I have any cash left--and my in-home financial advisor insists I do not--it'll be for a few accessories like spars for my phantom, hitch parts, or
inflater parts.
I better go finish the taxes and get that bodacious refund coming--we bought a rebate-qualified A/C last year. :-)
Philippbc - 16-3-2011 at 09:51 PM
Kite received! It's so purty!
My first phantom! Time to go update the signature :-)pbc - 21-3-2011 at 07:35 PM
Got to fly the new 15 yesterday. Indeed, way stable. Turns more slowly then the Scorp but the stability is very nice. I need to check the
videos I made of nearly hands-free flying. I might have something worth uploading. Seems to hang in longer in low wind as well.
Lad, if you want the family to "stay together" I'll be happy to adopt your 12m and reunite him with his big brother. :-)
