"Holding it down, since 20 knots!"

Seanny - 7-3-2011 at 07:52 PM

Sooooo... What are the exact requirements for this? 19m Synergy, 20 kts+ wind, standard setup, toes on the ground with NO tether/help from a friend? :D

Tiscali wind range calc says I'll be good up to 8 knots.

HA!

:wee:

We'll see about that

:D

Yup, 19m arc (you'd get in with an 18m Phantom!) and riding with it ... tether and friends are cheating

Note - this is NOT an endorsement to go out and get hurt!!! Rather, a fattie joke :(

How about a 15m S3 Deluxe in 25-30mph winds?

arkay - 8-3-2011 at 08:11 AM

that's it? Guess I'll join the club! I've flow my v19 in 25, can't say i'd do it again, it was more drag than fly. An in fact when I was landing the saftey failed, so that was fun. I landed the kite unhooked. I think what was crazier that was the v13 in 35+. Being jacked is really no fun. (I'm a 200# anchor)

I'm a 122 pound behemoth. 19m kites are no match :D

Nope ... 19 ... 20. That's it. But you can start a 1530 club if you like  ooh ooh we could be like the boyscouts and have badges ...

"19m in 20knots" ... "15m in 30 knots" ... "Helped an old lady launch her LEI" ... "Cleaned the beach of rubbish" ... "Set the rubbish on fire without petrol or matches" ... "Broke my wrist"

Seanny - 8-3-2011 at 10:01 PM

Hehehe, I'll tie a giant banner to my feet and give all of you guys a shout from above when I pass over ye. :)

BeamerBob, may I borrow your 19m Venom? :D Just mail it over, I'll drop it back off when I eventually land in your yard. But then I might need another big kite for the trip home.

Bob, if you're passing out arcs, send me the 9m phanny lol

BeamerBob - 16-3-2011 at 02:16 PM

It's a real fixer upper Drew! I don't know where to start. I'll have to learn to sew though. :dunno:

Drewculous - 16-3-2011 at 02:30 PM

is it AJ's that was in the for sale section?

BeamerBob - 16-3-2011 at 02:50 PM

Yes it is. It needs a laundry list of repairs. It's still en-route to CA, so I haven't seen it yet.

Seanny - 16-3-2011 at 03:02 PM

All the work will pay off for SURE. And it can't be that bad. I love DIY projects. Messing with kites is fun. I untangle lines because I like to
