adding Autozenith for bridled foils

Quote:

The unbridled Yagu uses small bike lights on the rear pigtails to induce autozenith when flying single line. Yagu SLE uses a pair of Danish 5kr coins to serve the same function. The Danish mint thinks that small denomination coins should double as kite stabilizers and conveniently include a hole in the center. I attach one coin to each rear tip inside the kite.

why not try this with bridled (depower) foils ?

anyone in the mood of doing the experiment ?
an easy solution could be to put some velcro tape on a heavy coin and put that velcro-coin to the dirt out velcros on each tip of the kite. so you can easily remove it for light winds; and add autozenit for stronger winds.

ok, i see a problem with kites that are very narrow at the tips. not enough leverarm to turn the kite up into autozenith?
maybe its better to attach the mass on each brake line ? but then it could be a problem with permanently braking the kite..
what about the middle of the trailing edge?

here, the yagu in single line mode:

Problem with using weight is the weight is fixed. What might work at a low wind speed will likely fail at higher wind speeds as dynamic effects kick in. Changes in pitching moment due to wind speed will outstrip the contribution from the weights. Try it, though - it may help with your particular kite in certain condtions.
