My "Macho" Libre (hurry up WWBB!)

chudalicious - 18-3-2011 at 03:54 PM

It has arrived and been tricked out with extra wide and padded back axel, front fork gopro mount and of course, a removable beverage can koozie.

Now... how the hell we are going to get this beast to the beach or all the way to the Shalimar is beyond me!?

Sweet ride!

Awesome!! Don't forget the GoPro mounts - I want to see this baby in action!!

You need a nice custom rack on the top of your car like Todd! It is just an old bike rack customized to fit the buggies! Glad you got your buggy, can't wait to see it in action! See you guys soon!

You have a trailer hitch right? Have Donnie weld you up a rack. But I've seen his racks and you may need to beef-up your rear suspension!!!

Oh by the way... SWEET RIDE Chud.

Mine fit in the back of my Honda Civic sedan with the axle off. Pain in the ass though. I even had it in my Mini once, but there wasn't a lot of room for anything else... like driving.

Hey chud, nice ride. I have a 2010 7m frenzy too and am still not sure if I should get a 9m or 11m. Also, do you like your 2011 frenzy (9m) a lot more then the 2010? What do you think?

chudalicious - 20-3-2011 at 12:54 PM

We are trying to not take it apart each time. I'll have to check out the custom hitches to figure out how to keep it together when we take it places. Tried out the 12m FS S3 today too. Would have been great to take it along :( The good news is we finally figured out how to secure it with bungee cords to the garage wall.

Cosmo - as far as the Frenzy I would say between 2010 and 2011, the improvements they made do make a difference, the 7 and the 9 fly about the same and turn very equally as well. I had also flown a 2009 11m Frenzy at Tug Hill and it had about the same power as the 2011 9m so they definitely upped the power a bit in the process.

However, in flying the Speed3 today - WOW. What a kite. I asked my fiance if he would swap out his 9m Frenzy for a 15m Speed 3 and he said he would do it in a heartbeat. More of a gentle giant. Plenty of power even at the edge of the window but it does turn MUCH slower than the Frenzy. Power comes on smoother than the Frenzy too. Yes - gentle giant is the perfect description of the kite whereas the Frenzy I would characterize as a cannon/slingshot burst of power.

Good luck in your quest!

What kind of vehicle do you have? Maybe you can Donnie (Weldngod)weld you up something! He may be able to help you out.

chudalicious - 20-3-2011 at 07:15 PM

Here's hoping. Have to see what kewl stuff we can use to make this work.

We have an Infiniti FX35 so it should be able to handle some extra weight.

Lets get some sand on that buggy. Isn't it warm there yet? Sure like the way you put the cover over the axle, it looks sharp.

Todd - 21-3-2011 at 07:08 PM

Sweet looking ride!
Hitch info

Then contact Donnie!

chudalicious - 21-3-2011 at 08:02 PM

Geez! Thanks so much Todd!
You get better soon man - take care of yourself and get some rest. Anderson and I wish you the speediest recovery EVER. :)

We'll see you in the fall!!

jellis - 22-3-2011 at 11:32 AM

Todd has the right idea for sure. Racking the buggy outside is the quickest and cleanest for the inside of your vehicle.
