Finished packing the bus with BlokKarts, Libre Buggies and parts today. What a job that was, just hope I remember where everything is. LOL If you want me to bring you anything now is the time to tell me so I can load it and save you the shipping costs. I leave the 23rd and arrive at Primm NV the 25th. Will be out if front of Buffallo Bill in a Bounder motor home. Also had my head buried getting the new KBSS web site up.
Looking forward to see new and old friends.

bigkid - 18-3-2011 at 11:16 PM

Jon, your one up on me. My truck went into the shop this morning and hope to get it back in a few days. But the trailer is ready. Something about brake calipers and wanting to stop. The blokarts will definitely be a bit different than the kites :wee:

csa_deadon - 19-3-2011 at 12:05 AM

Jon! 1-4 inch rim, and 1-fork bolt! :)

Oh Yea a case of PBR! :shocked2:

vwbrian - 19-3-2011 at 04:45 AM

Hello Jon
I need a set of the little black spacers that go on the front axle between bearings and forks
Thanks
Brian

van - 19-3-2011 at 09:59 AM

Jon,

I'll see you there. I might need you to bring me a few things for my buggies also. Been working 24/7 for the last 3 days trying to get ready.

Susan .. see you on the road.

kitemaker4 - 19-3-2011 at 10:21 AM

Not sure what day I will be leaving but will figure that out early next week.

Susan (npw goddess)

kitemaker4 - 19-3-2011 at 10:26 AM

Jon you can fly anything I have.

Van good to see you are going to make the event. Let me know if you want me to give you the route I take.

Susan (npw goddess)

kitemaker4 - 19-3-2011 at 12:31 PM

With the event more than a week from now you still can register online or you can register at the event when you get there. So there is still plenty of time. Am I missing something.

Susan (npw goddess)

deanaoxo - 19-3-2011 at 02:51 PM

Folks, thanks for all the support! UPDATED

Jon just called me yesterday and said he was registering right now, and indeed he has!

So, while we encourage anyone selling or making a living selling kites or kite traction gear to sponsor, Jon says he's just a very small fry and can't afford to sponsor this year.

Jon has been very supportive in the past and may be able to be more supportive in the future.

Jon is a past sponsor of the event.

We appreciate him signing up! Very much.

Now for the thread pruning. If you're bit was pruned without me talking to you, it's just because i can't figure out who you are behind your handle. You may call me if you like.(no U2U)

I've pruned the thread to take away the negative aspects of what looks like a misunderstanding.

The main parties involved have agreed to this pruning.

We abhor censorship here, but really just want to get together with everyone and buggy and fly kites.

we now return you to the aoxo of getting ready for your trip!

Well, I got both buggies down on the garage floor today putting my tool kit together, making sure I have all the bolts and nuts I need. Installing the bags on both buggies. I didn't have one last year and missed it. I got the large buggy bags bag so I can zip Ripsessions up if he wants to go for a ride. The XR+/long lowrider buggy looks good with the tires out and away from the elbows for stability at speed as well as resisting side pull. Why doesn't PL sell one in this configuration? Flexi used to sell their wide axle model which stretched the buggy and widened the rear track. The parts aren't that much more expensive than the std XR+ side rails and axle. It would let the buyer decide up front what they want without having to buy the extra parts. Oh wait a minute........:smug:

BeamerBob - 31-3-2011 at 06:01 AM

All loaded and leaving on schedule. See you guys soon.

:wee:SWEET! Glad it's found a good home & with someone what can actually PLAY it I hope! He can play it yeah:puzzled:
Out of curiosity what $ did it fetch @ auction? Also he need not worry on customs seizing it and keeping as this didg has coating inside & out. The mouth piece wax ring is also sugar-bag which is another rarity for a USA crafted didgeridoo;-)
I've ben busy as all on quite a few didgeridoos and am near close to 20 in my collection now @ last count.
A realy cool happening was to get a HELLO/ via face-book back from OZ from none other than Djalu Gurruwiwi himself who is considered by many the finest Yidaki craftsman living:spin:
http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Djalu-Gurruwiwi/16586511009...
So get that 2.5m out and smash my personal best of 55mph!
No Worries & keep safe:thumbup::thumbup:
