If I'm patting myself on the head.

Bladerunner - 19-3-2011 at 09:05 AM

If you see me doing this I am not hitting myself for being overpowered again ! I means I am coming in well powered and I need you to :

CATCH MY KITE !!!!!!!!!!

This is a common signal on the watter and in our local park. I notice every year at NABX that this important signal isn't undertood by many who fly on land.

BeamerBob - 19-3-2011 at 09:16 AM

I'll let Dino know. :saint:

Lol reminds me of my scuba class. Is there a signal for out of air I mean wind? My guess is when the beers come out

csa_deadon - 19-3-2011 at 09:27 AM

You know, at SOBB 09, that became the signal for "Run! Run for your life!"
I would not recomend catching Ken's kite!
He likes to use you as a biodegradable kite stake!

J/k Ken

forgive my ignorance, but why does someone have to catch the kite?

Bladerunner - 19-3-2011 at 10:45 AM

Simpler than going to safety. Leaves safety as an option. The Dry lake is REAL hard on kites. Water is wet....

TARGET PRACTICE !!!

kiteetik - 19-3-2011 at 11:22 AM

got it......

awindofchange - 19-3-2011 at 12:16 PM

This signal is mainly used for people riding depowerables such as the PL Twinskins or LEI's. Catching the kite is much easier on the kites than dumping them to the safety and letting them bang around on the ground. For normal fixed bridle or bridled depowerable kites catching is normally not necessary.

dman - 19-3-2011 at 03:45 PM

yeah normally:wee: I've had my 2mtr bobbing me around in some unexpected winds threatening to take me back to Utah and got a SAVE.

nocando - 19-3-2011 at 03:50 PM

Yes Is a great idea, if all are talking the same lingo

I would just recommend that if you're going to catch Bladerunners kite, wear body armor! :moon:

ohhhh thats what you are doing :puzzled:

This whole time I thought you were doing that to remind people to wear their helmets .... so they don't end up like you.

Oh and by the way if anyone sees me rubbing my belly that just means I'm hungry :P

nocando - 20-3-2011 at 02:35 PM

sure its not a signal that the devon slice on his head is getting burnt

Rubbing Dino's Belly brings you good luck !
You will be SUPER lucky if you get away with it twice ! ;-)

ALWAYS remember to wear you helmets though !!! It's never too late ! :smug:

I'll catch your kite.

With a good wind forecast, what kite are you even going to fly? I still have my M5, I'm sure that'll make an appearance... hopefully the v13 or p10 will be workable.

After watching that I want to still under an umbrella on the beach, have a drink with an umbrella in it, and take a nap!

But before my nap we need to organize a mass kite skate out-and-back, and by out and back I mean to the highway and back.

Bladerunner - 20-3-2011 at 03:16 PM

My big wind weapons will be : 10m Syn, Sarc460 and trusty 2.5profoil. With the Tarc thrown up until it breaks .

15m Syn is also being trucked down.

The Pulse or Phantom ( for low wind ) may become stow aways?

I think I'm covered and you are always welcome to them !
:bigok:

Let the Coyotes HOwwwwwl

Oh, and I'll be ready for a Rag Fappin' Race if one happens to break out ! :wee:

arkay - 20-3-2011 at 03:49 PM

I'm going to bring a 9m-ish Skynasaur, but it's bridal is not so happy. Might be a low wind activity :D

jellis - 20-3-2011 at 04:19 PM

Bladeunner I will let you catch me, if that will make ya happy.

Catching you is easy! You have been toying with me for years.

I'm out to beat you ! :Ange09:

I'm tired of simply catching your kites ! :D

It's ON !!!!!
