Hello everyone, I'm sure you all know a great person on here that goes by the name Todd. If you've never met him, you wish you had.
In recent weeks, there had been some minor problems that had been occuring, and this time it took a turn for the worse. He is in the Hospital now,
actually getting better as we speak. We almost lost him, but with many prayers, and the help from staff, he's in good condition, gaining strength.
Even the Doctors were astonished on how Todd was still walking. He was, and is still a tough man, fighting to get rid of this mess. I'm even amazed on
how he has gotten this far. Plus, as he's in the hospital, I've got Bronchitis with an inhaler, so we both can't wait to get over this "sickness" and
get back to flying.
I love you dad, with all my heart, and still say prayers for you. I hope you get well soon, so we can go back out there and go flying again!arkay - 19-3-2011 at 12:49 PM

Alright everyone, the news is here:
Turns out they found out what the problem was, and is certain that it is it, and he is going in for surgery Wednesday. Unfortunitely this puts him in
the Hospital for the rest of the week
Hopefully, this gets rid of the problem completely and he gets back to a full recovery! It's been tough, but he's still holding strong.
Hang in there dad!!WELDNGOD - 21-3-2011 at 06:19 PM
call me TuesdayTodd - 21-3-2011 at 06:53 PM
Corey pretty much summed it up before I could gain Internet signal here, but here is my version.
Thank you again for the kind words of encouragement; however I’m not out of the woods yet. Long story short I walked into the ER Friday with a
critical blood count, six units later along and a scan they discovered a mass. That news just about crushed me and after more test they have elected
to remove this mass on Wednesday (hopefully). I truly thought this was heart related due to the fact that I was constantly short of breath and
energy.
I ask of you PKF members to do this for me please; if you feel that bad go get checked. I am rather the hardheaded kind and refused to think this was
something that I couldn’t cure on my own. This decision almost cost me my life.
I’m in good spirits for the most part but would be lying if I said that I wasn’t terrified of what will happen in the next few days. Until then I
thank you for your support!
On to more bad news, it looks as if WBB is out for me however might be sending Corey to the show. Time is not on my side for this event.NJLandboarder - 21-3-2011 at 07:18 PM

Well Todd you have proven that you are a true man. Stuburn and thick headed like the rest of us. Now it's time to open up to your softer side and
think about yourself. Having been in this type of situation in the past I know a lot of the thoughts going through your head. Ever should you need to
talk don't wait. Give any of us a call and vent it out. The worst thing to do is keep it in and let it weaken you. Support is your friend right now.
Reach out when ever you need to.:bigok:ragden - 22-3-2011 at 04:38 AM
Well, at least you know what is going on now. That is the plus. You'll make it bud. We have faith in you. You are definitely in our wishes and
thoughts. Too bad you cant make the bash, I was looking forward to taking your buggy for a spin (hope I dont flip it again). Get well soon man. If you
need anything... drop me a line. snowspider - 22-3-2011 at 08:19 AM

I would like to say thanks to everyone as well for being so supportive of Todd and Corey. Those of you who know either of them know how much they love
this sport and how much they love their PKF family. With this kind of encouragement, and some great friends and family by his side, Todd will make it
back on the fields and beaches before you know it.
Todd, I wish you the best tomorrow brother! Time to get this step over so you can get the recovery started!
PKF family you ROCK!

Yes. And I would like to expand, on what is sure to be a sleepless night. The mere thought of being together with friends sharing a space in the sky
is enough to bring a huge smile across my face. This is a special bond between us on how we share the stoke after every session, yearning and wanting
more. I too want more and with time I will get just that. Short term goal is to fight stage I cancer and beat it into submission. I will not give up.
Long term goal is to enjoy each and every minute cherishing friendships near and afar while living a healthy life. Can I do it? You better believe I
can, just watch me.

Hey everyone, I'm still at the Hospital, he went "under" around 2, and Doc said he'd be in surgery until 7 p.m. tonight. Part of the ECKS family is
here (Rich, Chad, Lee, and Crisi - sorry if names are spelt wrong) and we've decorated Dad's room with kite stuff so when he comes back he'll feel
happy.
We're all here ready to help him, all trying to cheer him up as he rode out of the room.WELDNGOD - 23-3-2011 at 02:46 PM

numbershehatesmyhobbies - 23-3-2011 at 07:08 PM
Just a little update. His surgery was completed around 730 pm. Doc said he was doing just fine. He was in some pain but that was to be expected. I
left shortly after the Doc came in with the update. Corey got to spend some quality time with his dad after the surgery.
Corey, hope you don't mind me doing the update, I know you need to get some rest.
Todd, I know you are a strong man, you will pull through this like a champ. Corey you are also a strong young man and together you guys will pull
through this and move on to greater days ahead.
Oh by the way, I hope you like your redecorated room! Enjoy bro, get some rest and I will talk with you soon!Corman - 23-3-2011 at 07:21 PM
Thanks Rich, I appreciate it.
It's hard, it's really really hard. When I'm not with Dad I break down. I always suck it in when I'm with him. As soon as he came rolling in the room
I was more than happy. Once the nurses were done they let us walk in and see him. I stood by his side the entire time, and then when the rest of the
crew left it was just me and him.. like the good old times.
We had a nice conversation, even with the pipe in his throat, and yet, he was still full of jokes in this state. "It's just you and me bud" he said as
soon as everyone left. "I'm here to the end" I said with a smile. We sat there, and I did everything I could to make him feel comfortable, and then
mom had to come in and almost literally drag me out, because I would've never left. I held his hand and said a quick prayer to take care of him while
I am away, and hopefully see him tomorrow after 4.
I don't know how I will get through school tomorrow, it'll be tough, but I'll have to suck it in like Dad is probably doing right now.
Hope you feel better Dad, I love yourocfighter - 24-3-2011 at 03:44 AM
Corey you are the man. Your Dad has my number if you want to let off some steam. You guys are awesome. Corey your dedication to your family is to be

strong is hard but you'll do fine.tridude - 24-3-2011 at 06:03 AM

Just a short note to say hello and give you an update. Surgery went ok and the doctor thinks that she got it all, what’s left over will be dealt with
through Chemotherapy. Right now my stomach is so sore due to the 8” incision, I have learned really fast not to cough, sneeze, or even pass gas with
force. There was mention of being released Monday or Tuesday (I hope) but in reality don’t expect it until further into the week. What I wouldn’t
give for a bite of solid food. I received a care package from Aunt “B” but must resist the temptation to have any.
Oh, came back to the room after surgery to find a 5M Flexifoil kite hanging from the ceiling. What good friends…flyjump - 25-3-2011 at 04:41 PM
