I got a chance to do some kiting yesterday in about 25km/h winds (15mph). I was riding the Speed 2 and the snow has turned from fluffy to a hard
packed drifted crust almost like ice. I could hold an edge well and decided to practice board skills. I was able to switch to toeside in order to try
a downwind run, but no matter what I did I ended up getting pulled over onto my back, or when it came time to change directions I would outrun the
lines before the kite completed turning around. Is there anything I can do to help my skills, or is it all in the practice????

Toe-side on an ATB is about balancing the angle of your tack with the kite - maybe you're trying to ride too far upwind? I'm still very sucky at
toe-side on the water - I blame the fact that it's tough to ride toe-side in waves that break over your knees :o
Turning on water is a bit easier cos you sink and create tension in the lines ... I find downlooping the kite is best cos it sends it so fast it's
tough to mess it up
still working on the timing but basically, once the kite is
about to head on the opposite tack, throw your turn down, carving hard!
