GoPro LCD BacPac

Just came today and let me tell you - it makes the GoPro a new contender in the HD mini cam world. Seems odd they didn't think of this and integrate it from the start because the comparison in function between how it was (not sure where this thing is pointed) and how it is now is hands down night and day.

To GoPro's credit, they've done a nice job of bundling it. I opened the top box and saw FOUR back covers. Two waterproof (one for the wrist case, one for he standard case) and two non-waterproof.

A+

Of course I have to wonder if it'll have any negative impact on the battery performance. I'll let you know.

it will cut your battery life in half if you keep it on. It has a function to turn the lcd off after 60 seconds which I'd highly recommended. Too bad you can't attach the battery bacpac at the same time...

Love it!!!

Nice to know what mode you are in and certainly helps ensure you got the shots you wanted.

It seems of very limited utility to me ... once the shots lined up, it's going to be a hassle to dick around with taking it off or pulling the camera out to check :( one of the things that's pushing be towards another brand of camera :o that and the fogging ;)

Yeah once the shot is lined up it's pretty much useless... luckily i haven't had much issue with fogging. If you are using it on land then don't use the fully waterproof housing...
