Weezer
Concert

Hell yes! We're going to Canada!!! We'll miss Canada Day by a few hours tho!

We work Friday the 1st, catch a midnight flight out of denver, spend saturday and sunday seeing the city, concert on sunday night... fly home on monday... just in time to see some fireworks!
we wont even miss a day of work!

Weezer and JacS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s Manequin are pretty much my wife's favorite two bands... so she kinda lost it when she saw this!

Should be an epic weekend!!!

I'd love to see Montreal. Awesome weekend ahead for you bro!

If your'e not into clubs there is a place (I can't remember the name) that has, as I recall, about 70 different varieties of poutine. Damn I love poutine.

Montreal is about 3hrs north of here, I should make more of an effort to get up the more often. Poutine, seriously how can you go wrong with gravy, cheese and chicken or whatever over fries?:piggy:

Find St Catharines street and walk. My wife and I walked from Old Montreal (very cool too) to the heart of St Catharines and back. A nice long stroll but a safe feeling city and no reason not to just get out there. You'll know you're getting close to the "heart" of it all when you see strip joints every 3rd door. Not dodgy or derelict - just euro-canadian I guess. (And no.....we didn't go in  )

oh yeah... gettin some poutine this weekend! ;)
... wait, what.... OH gravy and fries! that too!

theres a place in Montreal that does nothing but foi gras, and apparently does it on a next level of awesome... have never tried it, so we may need to stop by there!

Def gonna walk the city! When we went to Dublin, we didnt even rent a car, we just wondered around a few days, found some really great stuff that way

edit:
Au Pied de Cochon is the name of that resturant... lol gotta hit that up!

Drewculous - 6-7-2011 at 08:22 PM

I had kamikazi poutine... 2 or 3 kinds of peppers, hot sausage, and covered in tobasco.... With gravy cheese and all.... Mmmm

The place was called la banquise... Mmmmm

If you missed a smoked meat, Montreal's version of pastrami, sandwich at Schwartz's on St Lawrence Main, you have to go back.
Montreal parks smell like weed. Wow things have really changed since I left in the 70's. Back then they smelled of hashish.
Great town to party in. You want to be careful drinking Fin du Monde. At 9% they do not call it end of the world for nothing.
