Anyone interested in an arc 840 with a huge blow out in it? I personally think it is beyond repair but others may disagree. Not sure if there are
any useful parts, the spars are intact although I haven't pulled them out to inspect them. Other than that I think it would be usable if you need
some old, bright green kite fabric. I will give it to anyone that will pay the shipping from USA zip code 49653. With spars it might be $20-$30
without should be much cheaper. If anyone is interested let me know.

I looked at the spars and 1 might be original, the other is an original Spalding golf club shaft, but it does the job. I have some pics that I can
email but can't figure out how to upload yet. Did I mention it is free.

There's a guy on here from the Boston area I believe. He is always looking for kite fabric to make single liners. I will try and find the thread.

That would be Jens, he is in the Nahant area. He loves old kite fabric.

Thanks guys!
bigbenmi -I'm definitley interested but would give anybody 'right of way' who would like to fix the kite to fly it. I would cut it in pieces and make
single line kites out of it. Please let me know if the kite is still available.

Well I sent pics to one interested person and haven't heard back yet. I think I will give it a full week and if no one is interested it will go to
jokiter. While I would love for it to get fixed, I can't imagine that it would be very easy and it seems like making new kites might be the best use
of this old kite.

Glad that the kite gets a second chance!
Finally fixed

It has been on the back of my mind to get it fixed and
I finally found time to do it.
It is not a best looking repair, but it should be solid, inside and outside taped and sawn, with internal damage reinforced.
New spar pockets with velcro closures and 1/2"OD aluminum spars.
Cannot wait to try it out.

Yea! I love it! That's on par with my jobs. Ugly but good to go.
Good job mdpminc!
