It fits... just.John Holgate - 24-4-2011 at 02:23 AM
I thought you'd parked on a golf course at first..... Cute little
car, that. I"d be thinking a tow bar with a clamp - like a jockey wheel clamp - that could grab the axle with some sort of upright incorporated (like
some multi-bicycle racks?) to attach to the down tube. Might be less risky to the duco than putting it on the roof.
Or maybe a small trailer......bigkahuna - 24-4-2011 at 03:11 AM
Is that a Suzuki? If so, I had one of the original "Suzuki Jeeps" that they only imported into Hawaii during the 80's (had to sign an agreement that
I wouldn't take it out of the state when I bought it). It looked like a miniature Willys Jeep, had a 2 cylinder engine and maxed out at 45 mph on the
freeway. But that puppy worked great on the beach. That was my 2nd "beach mobile". WIllardTheGrey - 24-4-2011 at 01:43 PM
Planing on a small trailer but have to fab a hitch first.
It's Geo Tracker, exactly the same as a Suzuki Sidekick.airin - 24-4-2011 at 01:49 PM
Love it!
I have a suzuki sidekick as well. This is my fourth Suzuki jeep; totally great gas mileage and go-anywhere type of vehicle.
Luckily my PL folder fits inside with just the front wheel removed.arkay - 24-4-2011 at 01:52 PM
Nice I thought about doing that but I'd destroy the roof of my wife's
car; and there's no way I'm putting it on my car. so I got a trailer The geo
can pull a small trailer; before i landed on the trailer I have now, I thought about using a motorcycle trailer (the one for towing from a mototcycle)
and put a bracket on top for the buggy and use the inside for kites Kamikuza - 25-4-2011 at 05:07 AM
They're called Jimny here and are pretty legendary! Have a look around YouTube, there's video of the Jimny driving around underwater and stuff
... the wife's car is the Mitsubishi version called "Pajero Mini" which is a bit less spartan. Bit of a tight fit to get me inside it, let alone a
few kites, boards etc still, a pretty impressive 4WD for such a small car - and
the intercooled-turbo puts out enough grunt to light the wheels up
Horrendous on the highway at even 60mph though - 7,000rpm for hours is not jun :oKamikuza - 25-4-2011 at 05:12 AM

Nice ride, my wife had one that was white with over sized mudders. Had the hard top with a rack built in. Thing could climb trees.
They do make a hitch for it, you could rig up a rack for the bug to hang off the back.
If the wind dies at the beach, you could go out and play-tell the rangers it's an atv with doorsbigkahuna - 26-4-2011 at 12:00 AM
This is what I'm thinking of using for my next "kite mobile":
No room for a buggy but I plan on building a rack to carry my kiteboard and Venom. WIllardTheGrey - 26-4-2011 at 12:15 AM
Nice! 49cc right?

?? In Oregon all you need is a flag, tag, and fire extinguisher, to go anywhere ATVs are allowed. Is it deferent up north?bigkahuna - 26-4-2011 at 01:35 AM
Right, 49cc. I saw a young guy on the beach who built one from a mountain bike and it inspired me. I live 3.3 miles from the beach which would be a
piece of cake to peddle, except there's a 100' incline on the bridge over to the island. That incline would get old fast. A little motor would be a
big help I think. This summer they'll be charging $10 a day to park at the beach, so this is what I think I'll use instead. The bike racks are
always empty, so parking won't be a problem. bigkid - 26-4-2011 at 01:48 AM
Up north the beaches are off limits to everything except street legal vehicles, Horses and stupid people who are dumb enough to ride a moped. Nothing
off the hard pack.Drewculous - 28-4-2011 at 11:04 AM
i want to ride my bike more, but i havent figured out how to mount the bug, board, and a pile of kites to a 1300 vtx lol
