Hi all,
I am 20 and I am looking to get into Landboarding & kitesurfing.
So would love to meet up with experienced members for a few lessons if possible.
Thought I would do my first post to see if there is anyone on here close, or if there is any weekly/monthly beach meets near me.
I class myself as an intermediate flyer as I have been doing it for around 4 years.
I have only flown my 2.5m U-Turn Oxigen, which is a great kite in my eyes, good jumps and fast turns.
I have just purchased a second hand 2006 North Rhino 20m(squared) (guessing 14-16m ish??)
Really excited to take it up the beach next week. I know this is a HUGE jump of size, but I am eager to progress.
I have a landboard and harness, so I hope i can get the board wizzing up and down the beach soon.

Welcome Stevi, This is a good place to look for help. I hope you are carefull with this monster you aquired. Helmet and pads should be your next
purchase, before you land wrong.

You might want to hook up with flyers local to you before launching the larger kite.
List of BKSA (British Kitesurfing Association) schools can be found --> here
Joining BPKA (British Power Kitesports Association) will get you cheap insurance for when you are flying and will let you locate other flyers in
your area. They have their own forum that you can register for --> here
There are some kite clubs in Cambridgeshire. They are made up of people that fly single, dual, quad, and power kites. The ones local to you
can be found --> here
The U-Turn is a quad line FB bridle kite (unless you are using the SPS system). You should familiarize yourself with the North Depower setup and
all the safeties before taking it out. If at all possible, going out with someone with more experience would be the best situation.
