Epic day Saturday at Pawleys Island.
Very nice swell in the morning with light winds made for some most excellent long board rides. Lefts or rights off the peaks.
Onshore breeze to 15mph kicked in after lunch. FINALLY, got to break out the 16m Xbow for me and the 12m Switch for my son. We had an incredible water
session for the next 2 hours. Cabrinha delivers!!!!.
And if this wasn't enough, after an early supper I grabbed the HQ bag and the buggy, walked onto a beach that was almost devoid of people, low tide,
11mph onshore. Yes, it was sweet. 1 solid hour of kick @@$ buggy time!! Glad I went with the 8m Neo (love this kite) instead of the 11. This became
painfully apparent when at one point I suddenly noticed the buggy moving ahead without me! A late re-direct snatched me right out the back for my most
memorable OOBE to date.
Tried to replicate the activities today but only got in a longboard session this morning and about 3 hours of kitesurfing this afternoon.
Felt compelled to share since I have been way overdue for a weekend like this.
