Revolution Kite Wanted

Revo - 25-4-2011 at 12:28 PM

As per title I am after a Revolution Kite, a SLE would be first choice but anything considered.

I am in the UK so you will need to be willing to ship to England please.

Complete with handles and lines would be ideal but if the price is right then again anything considered.

What have you got?

Thank you.

I have them in stock and can ship world wide. If you are looking for new, let me know.

@ A Wind of Change what would be the price of a complete SLE (inc handles and lines) shipped to Portsmouth, Hampshire, England?

@ kite_lines_ebay yes they are stunt kites, VERY controllable. Just search for it on Youtube and you will see how good they are.

There's also one or two in the For Sale section here. Look for a guy named PNW Flyer. We JUST flew one we'd bought from him before Xmas the other day and it was in PERFECT condition and flew like a champ.

I have flown a few two line stunt kites but never a Revolution, have seen them fly at a kite festival over here and they look amazing.

Thanks macboy, I have alreday contacted PNW Flyer (it was his post which found this forum in a search) and I am just waiting for a reply on price shipped to the UK, will have another search in for sale for any more. ;)

Revo,

You can purchase right off our website at:
http://www.awindofchange.com

Price for the 1.5 SLE, complete package is $299.00. This includes the kite, bag, Laser Pro Gold Quad Lineset (90# x 85'), Instruction Manual, 13" stainless handles, two complete leading edge rods (One complete SLE and one complete 1/4" std LE) and the training DVD. Be cautious of other sites selling Rev's listed as "complete" but not including the lines or even the handles or only including one leading edge.

Shipping to the UK runs appx. $35.00 to $45.00 depending on the exact address, USPS Priority Mail. 5-12 days delivery time.

If you can fly 2-liners, you'll pick the Rev up ok ... different experience but not impossible :D I recommend finding a soft field or beach to fly on first times out

Oh and - welcome!

And you can deal with Kent with confidence. Straight up guy.

Thanks for the replies and welcomes.

One thing I will need to factor in is any duty and VAT charged as they come through Customs, I have been charged before which added about 30% to the cost which is why I would like to buy second hand first if possible to keep the overall cost down.

I missed a nice SLE for sale in the UK last week for £95 but they are few and far between at that price!

Damned Royal Mail or Customs or whoever those #@%$#!s are - boy, what a bunch of rip-off merchants! Ruined more deals for me than you'd believe :(

Revo - 26-4-2011 at 12:28 PM

Yeah it's Customs & Excise at the ports who impose the charges, what starts out looking like a bargain can soon become much more expensive than buying in the UK.

macboy - 26-4-2011 at 02:28 PM

Just buy fast and have it marked as "Royal Wedding Decorations" - they'd hate to be the ones holding up the process on something important.

LOL good idea!
