Hi everyone my name is Larry, 16 years old and wants to try the atb. I love to long board and was recently told that people ride boards with a kite.
With a little Google research lead me to the power kite forum so here I am. From what I have read so far sounds like a good beginner kite would be a 3
meter, is this correct? Thank you.

You're on the right track.
Have a look through the new kiter threads from the past few weeks for more info.... Some of them have excellent links to tutorials.
You'll be using the three meter to get kite skills at first, then it will be a starter kite for landboarding. You'll soon find you'll want more
power, but start small....
If you longboard in parking lots or other hard surface with decent winds you'll be able to do pretty well with the three meter after you have built up
the kite skills...
And welcome to the forum!

Peter Lynn has an excellent kite for beginners. It's called the impulse. It comes in 2 meter and 3 meter sizes. Easy to launch and relaunch. Good
power throughout the window. Three lines on a control bar. Also the Beamer is another excellent kite to look up

Thank you for the info. I have spent countless hours going over Youtube videos looking for the basics. Has anyone ever converted a long board to an
ATB? Cash flow is kind of low until I can mow some yards this summer.

I am not sure if anyone has tried it or not, but welcome to the forum. Are you in the states?
