Sold my speed 15 and replaced it with a naish torch 18 c kite..... they are surprisingly similar.... 11 kts and i'm upwind with it and turning
characteristics are very similar....
If I was flying them both blindfolded I really couldn't tell the difference between the 2.... I know this is blasphemy but.......
turning rate is the same, both with the same constant pull..
This video was 11kts gusting to 13kts....
I converted the video to flash thinking it would upload to youtube faster but I was wrong..... next time i'll leave it high quality....
lets try vimeo, maybe they won't steal my music.......

Yes! I like mowing the lawn too with no cuts in the take. It is fun to just cruise and keep in the falls. I have to try out a
Mako 140. I am liking the Mako classic. My what a big pink kite you have!
In my lawn mowing videos I use setting #4 on the GoPro for a wider angle that gets in the board and the kite in most shots. It would look better
witout the flash compression. Music worked for me.Kamikuza - 7-5-2011 at 02:27 AM
Not bad! I would've thought a little dude like you'd get more bottom end out of it though!
What year is the Torch and what number is the Speed? I'd like to try a new light wind LEI but really - the relaunch has to be an utter ass compared to
the SA2 ...macboy - 7-6-2011 at 03:02 PM
So I've got to ask.......what's "lawn mowing" refer to exactly? I've come up with all sorts of clever and undoubtedly incorrect hypothesis and can't
take the "out of the loop" feeling any more......

"Mowing the lawn" means you're kiting back and forth just like mowing a football field. macboy - 7-6-2011 at 05:05 PM
....so all the wingtip grass stains my kites have were for naught.......

On a green kite, no one can see your grass stains. You're still fair game for the geese though.
